Jolene's World Cast of Characters

 This is the official "spin-off" of Sagehen Mesa, anchored by Jolene (Rowland) Lawson who grew up in Sagehen Mesa, attended college in Sunset Valley, and occasionally makes an appearance as a visitor to Sagehen Mesa or on escapades with some of the people of that town. Now she is living and raising her family in Sunset Valley. If you're new to my stories, here are the key characters in this series:

Jolene has a flair for being dramatic, and she's fond of sticking her nose into other people's business. She was known for spying on the neighbors and citizens of Sagehen Mesa as a teen. She envisioned herself as a real-life Veronica Mars: a teen private investigator dealing with cases both big and small in the town. 

She is credited with exposing the illegal buzzberry operation in the area just before leaving for college. 

Her "extracurricular community service" points earned her a scholarship to Sunset Valley Community College where she became a member of the sorority and earned her degree in technology. 

After graduation, she married Alden Lawson, a well-known author of books featuring a dog detective and some not-so great romance novels.

 He's now following his dreams as a musician and seems to be doing well.

Jolene now lives in a big house with her husband and baby boy Sammy. The only tension between her and Alden comes from the fact that Jolene hired Grady Elfman as the maid to help her take care of the house. 

He would much rather she had hired a female - especially since his first encounter of Grady was out by the pool, where he, Jolene, and Jolene's best friend Ashley were hanging out together. 

All in all, Jolene's life is pretty mellow at the moment. She's got a nice house, handsome husband, sweet toddler son, hot maid, a nanny (babysitter), and is still enjoying her career as a private investigator and getting together with her best friend Ashley from time to time.

Ashley is still in college and lives at the sorority. She's had a failed relationship or two, but is now dating Darryl. She thinks he's "the one."

Ashley is known for her obsession with onion rings. Her beauty queen wannabe mother forbade Ashley and her sisters from eating fried food when they were kids, so the world of onion rings and nachos is relatively new to Ashley, and in the beginning, she often overindulged. 

Ashley's sorority sisters include Hannah, who is mean-spirited and enjoys tormenting the rest of the girls. Hannah is about to graduate.

The other two girls in the sorority are Karla and Tameka, both freshmen. Karla doesn't put up with Hannah's abuse.

But Tameka does. 

All the girls in the sorority are registered for their classes and ready for the school year. 

Now let's meet the former sorority sisters: Shannon and Ye.

Shannon (on the left) is a werewolf. Because of her condition, she never did well in college, and her politician father told her he was no longer going to waste his money on her education. She was forced to drop out and she took a low level position at city hall to try and win her father's approval. 

Ye, a vampire, graduated with a degree and is currently in the music career. Jolene seems to like Shannon, but apparently can't stand vampires, leaving Ye at the bottom of her relationships list. 

They are unlikely roommates, but so far they seem to be getting along. 

We'll see how everyone gets on this summer.
