Sagehen Mesa Season 4, Episode 12 - Sondra's Secrets.

Hi, I don't believe you've heard from me. I'm Sondra Mahon. Daughter of Tess Dexter and Cliff Mahon, and step daughter of Anton Dexter. I'm also soon-to-be wife of Tony Whiting.

The wedding's tomorrow, and I have a lot on my mind. Thanks to Ms. Josie, we were able to afford this cute little house to start out our life together.

It's just down the road from Tony's parents.

Tony's parents and my mom and Anton helped us with the furnishings. Some rooms are empty, but we have the rooms we'll be needing right away taken care of.

The living room . . .

the dining area, . . .

the kitchen, . . .

a bathroom . . .

and the bedroom are all furnished, with the exception of some artwork for the walls. We plan on making a trip to the Art Barn and getting some wall decor later. I really don't want to take advantage of Tony's family as they are struggling financially. I want us to be able to pay them for what we get for the walls.

They were victims of a burglary about a week ago.

The burglar even had the nerve to come into the bedroom where they were sleeping!

The burglar apparently isn't from around here, because I confronted my father Cliff about it and he claims that he also fell victim to the burglar, and he didn't even have much worth stealing!

Cliff was too groggy to stop him. He always goes on about how poor he is, but I know what Cliff's about. I accidentally stumbled upon his criminal operation a while back.

I didn't know what to do. Do I report my own father or keep quiet? I kept quiet. THEN, a few months later, he takes Jarod Barclay, a mere teenager, to France to have him help out with "the business." I swear Dad's adopting that kid and ignoring me because I'm a girl!

He seems to think the only thing I'm good for is giving him grandchildren!

But I'll show him! I went and joined his organization.

I haven't told Tony about it, and I'm not sure I will. We'll be needing money, and he's just getting started in the medical field.

On top of the new jobs and new house, I've got the wedding planning. Mom passed away recently, so she couldn't go with me to select my dress.

Anton insisted on coming along, but he was so worked up at the fact that Mom didn't live to see me married, that he made everything more stressful.

Maybe if I realized that would be the last time I saw Anton, I would have been less grouchy with him.

I guess realizing I only had one parental figure left lead to my dream that Cliff also died.

It seemed so real, . . .

. . . but I called him in the morning, and he's still alive n' kickin'.

Tomorrow's the big day. Teri Greenberg assures me the cake will be ready. I've left that part of the wedding in Tony's hands, so I hope it all turns out okay.

I hope to see you at the wedding!
