Homeless in the City Part 3 - Has Kirk Found His Sugar Momma?
Welcome back to the Roaring Heights Library where a colony of homeless people are squatting. The youngest of the group is baby Darby. He's a lot of work and some of the group, including Darby's mother Angie are frustrated with the being woken up in the middle of the night.
A fact that she tells anyone who will listen to her complaints.
Darby's father Carmen can't be bothered to respond to the baby in the middle of the night. He sleeps through anything.
Even Davina has taken it upon herself to pitch in from time to time . . .
But I get the feeling she's judging Angie for not being attentive enough.
After all, everyone has a job of some sort, except Angie. Paulo goes to school, and Davina and Andrew work as criminals (though Andrew had to do some time recently.)
Andrew has taken an interest in street art, so I wonder if that didn't have something to do with his recent arrest.
While Carmen isn't much help with the baby, he is holding down two jobs, hoping he can save enough to set up a better situation for his family.
By day he performs for tips in the park, . . .
. . . with mixed reviews. Luckily, he finally landed a regular gig at the Luminescent Bar, where he also moonlights as a mixologist.
I believe he will be performing on Tuesdays. (I also set up another performance stage in town, so maybe he can get two gigs.)
Kirk, on the other hand, isn't experienced enough to even get an audition, but he's got a lot of requests to deliver sing-o-grams all over town.
It's kind of embarrassing, and he gets laughed at a lot, but if he plays his cards right, he just might luck into the cushy lifestyle of the rich and famous. One of his clients was a beautiful and wealthy woman who is recently widowed. Her name is Josephine. She invited Kirk into her mansion.
It turns out this mansion is set up to accommodate a stage performer (though it will need some adjustments to be functional.)
I tried to have Kirk befriend her, but he's such a diva that he somewhat sabotaged my efforts.
But he consoled her, and maybe with some effort they can make a love connection.
Kirk helped himself to a peanut butter and jelly sandwich and tried to establish a good relationship with Josephine's daughter.
The woman in the pink track suit who was chumming it up with Angie, . . .
. . . had a less than stellar encounter with Kirk later that evening.
Her name is Alicia Schreiber, and I'm wondering if she is going make regular appearances in this series.
But it's now 2 am, and folks are starting to take their evening baths, so it's time to go for now.
More to come next week. See ya then!
