Sagehen Mesa Season 2 Part 6 - Sheriff Rae's Sweet Dream

Hi, it's Rae again. I just couldn't wait to tell you about the most fantastic dream I had last night. I dreamt that Clancy called me up in the middle of the night and asked me to meet him at the church.

He told me he loved me and couldn't live without me for another minute. He wanted to get married right then and there! We quickly changed into our swimwear and stood at the wedding arch in the empty church, and began our vows.

I just couldn't take my eyes of Clancy, but I thought I heard someone come in the church and go into the bathroom.

"Dang that overlord! Can't she do anything right? Got me a bed, and a lantern, and a minifridge, and a camp chair, but neglected to get me a toilet! I can piss in the bushes, but I don't have a shovel so I can't take a poop!" he mumbled.

The voice sounded familiar, but we were determined not to let anything get in the way of us becoming husband and wife.

As the ceremony concluded, the sound of the toilet flushing echoed around the building.

I could hear the man leaving, but then he turned around.

"Clancy! You can't marry her! She's a cop!"

It was none other than Clancy's fugitive father Cliff! Finally! I'd been looking high and low for him and here he is, showing up unannounced to his son's spur-of-the-moment wedding!

He tried to sweet talk me into letting him go, in light of the wedding and all. He said we were related now and kin don't turn on kin!

Clancy said to hurry things up, his show was about to come on. To his credit he sat patiently while Cliff and I sorted out our differences.

Cliff is a strong, muscle-bound man, but I've been working out, waiting for this kind of opportunity.

"I bet you'll look great in orange!" I taunted.

"Defeated by a woman! How can this be happening?!?"

I was quite happy with obtaining a husband AND a fugitive all in one night. As I prepared to take Cliff to jail, everything suddenly went black. The voice of the overlord echoed in my head, "Oh nooooo! Don't crash! Don't crash! Don't crash . . .!" Then I woke up. It had been a very sweet dream.
