Sagehen Mesa - Season 2 Episode 2 - Arrival of the Whitings

 Hi, I'm Nick.


My family just moved here. I'm so glad there's an ice cream man here. I love ice cream. I have a brother named Tony who's a little older than me, and my dad and mom. Dad's name is Bryon, and Mom's is Leona. 


Dad likes guitars and Mom likes horses. We moved to this house that came with a horse named Eclipse. I guess Eclipse was owned by some bad guys who were sent to jail. They used to live in this house. I wonder if they hid any stolen money or jewels or anything around here. I might have to do some treasure hunting. Anyway, the neighbors were taking care of Eclipse until someone bought the property, so now Eclipse is ours. My parents bought the place and everything on it at an auction. Eclipse isn't allowed to do contests because the bad people did something to make him too strong and able to win all the time. It would be like Superman having a contest with normal people. It wouldn't be fair. 


Mom doesn't care about contests; she just likes to ride horses, so she's happy. She hadn't rid horses since she was a little girl. She and Dad moved to Bridgeport after they got married and Tony and me were born there.  


Tony like to dress up in costumes and play pretend and be on stage.


 He's very creative, but also obnoxious. 

I asked mom why we had to move from Bridgeport. 


Mom said we inherited some money when Grandpa died, and she and Dad wanted us to be able to have fun and play outside without them having to worry about bad guys stealing us. Dad might travel back to the city once in awhile to perform concerts or make a record, but mostly we'll be here. I'll miss my friends, but Mom and Dad say I'll make some new friends soon and this town will feel more like home. 


Tony's excited because Mom and Dad also opened an art store here, and she's gonna run the store. Let's go take a look. 


Because this is a real barn, Mom says it's gonna be "pet friendly" meaning pets can come inside. I don't think she meant horses though. 



An old man thought the horse might be hungry, so he took it outside to the hay and water trough. 


Later, I saw the old man kissing this old lady! Ewww! Right in front of everybody! 


Then this other guy came up to the old lady and sprayed her with a drink!


He said, "Cool it Josie! This man is not your husband! Skedaddle on home now before you do something you regret!" It was so funny!


The problem with letting animals in the store is they pee on the floor. Mom said she'd pay me to mop up the messes. 


I really don't mind cleaning things. In fact I like it - just don't tell anybody. Tony would rather play when he's at the store. Mom lets him paint. She says it might encourage others to try it and then buy their own supplies to take home. 



There's one room in the store that kids aren't allowed in - including us. Mom says there are too many dangerous things in there. 

Sometimes our new house gets really loud because the washing machine is old and rattles around, and Tony is always acting like he's king of the world or something. 



When the house gets too noisy, it's time for me to go exploring. I found this cool junkyard with a robot made out of junk and lots of other cool stuff. There was even ice cream in the refrigerator, and this guy said anyone can eat anything from the fridge no charge. 


My parents warned me about taking things from strangers, but this ice cream wasn't really his, and he didn't give it to me, so I guess that's okay. He works at the hospital. His name is Jonathan and the black guy said his name is Anton. I asked them if they had any kids my age, but neither of them do, which is a bummer. 


At least I have my brother. We get along most of the time.

We had a fire at our house yesterday. Mom said it wasn't her fault. She said the stove was old and broken and we need to get a newer, better one. 





Mom finally found the fire extinguisher and put the fire out, but we had to eat veggie rolls for dinner because she burned the mac and cheese. Yuck!


Mom and Dad say we're gonna have a baby brother or sister soon. I hope I don't have to share my room!

LEPacy challenge: Generation 9 - Gains teens - continued renovations to Roseward.

 My game has crashed twice because I get wrapped up in the game play and building and forget to save regularly. I hope I didn't lose too much progress. I'll start this post with Fluff's graduation and the Gains family vacation to Egypt. I posted these on Facebook already, but I also wanted them here. I discovered that the option to "turn into toy form" did not make the imaginary friends unplayable like a ghost choosing to return to the dead. Instead they turn into the walking around kind. Both Snuggles and Fluffs wanted to go to Egypt, so after Fluff graduated, that's what the entire family did - except Simicon and the dog. Fluff graduated at the courthouse as in all games. I had put a jynx rug inside the blacked out shell. Later I changed the blacked out part to an interior with floors and walls - not yet furnished.  Gina has a crush of Fluffs, but now that he's a young adult, he can't be romantically involved with her.
