North Winds Reboot - Part 11 - Maxwell's bad date, that trollop Abigail, the abductions, Rosamel's birthday, and the Handyman drama.
We are now on day 33 of life in Linmeadows. Angelo just might earn his business degree at this rate. He's 6 credits away, and in his last semester. Here are the highlights and recent adventures.
Maxwell was asked out on a date by a woman named Kizzie Mize. I had no idea who Kizzie was, so we had to go check her out. The date started out okay, but quickly went downhill.
To be fair, I think Kizzie started with the insults and Maxwell was just giving as good as he got. Kizzie can dish it out but can't take it.
In addition to slapping him with her hand, she even produced a white glove and slapped him across the face with it! (Unfortunately I wasn't quick enough to catch that interaction.) They had met up at the library, so I figured poor Maxwell could at least get some reading in, even though the date was a bust.
Calvin and Abigail have been spending a lot more time together despite her being Calvin's son's baby-mama. She is closer in age to Calvin, and Angelo is childish, so maybe that accounts for her fascination? However, Abigail is also childish, so you'd think she and Angelo would be a good match. Looking back in my notes, I noticed that Angelo found her to be a 1 out of 10 in attractiveness. In review, Abigail is a former mascot and is flirty, childish, a party animal, charismatic, and friendly. (A little too friendly if you ask me, and she doesn't seem to care who notices.) Young Kenton Baugh-Jam joined them for a picnic and she just couldn't resist fawning over Kenton's muscles to Calvin.
I think this is Leif Corey she is flirting with here. Poor Angelo is starting to see Abigail's true colors.
On another occasion, she was flirting with Angelo in front of Calvin. Calvin decided to look the other way, and instead of reacting, he played with little Rosamel. This prompted Abigail to joke that maybe she and Calvin should have a child together, so Rosamel could have a sister-2nd cousin and Angelo could be their child's uncle-brother. Calvin was not amused.
I think both guys are getting tired of Abigail's act, but she's Rosamel's mother, and they both secretly know that someday they may have to abscond with little Rosamel, separating her from her mother due the the curse the family is under. So they put up with Abigail's wily ways. She is also trying to ruin Mike Bloodston's marriage.
She has been wanting to go on a date with him. She ran into him at the Asian Restaurant, and he was clearly tempted by her advances, but he brought his toddler with him, and the toddler intervened by pooping his pants, resulting in Mike remembering that he is married and has a family that counts on him.
Apparently Angelo and Abigail are done. Angelo tried to gift her a book, but she said she didn't know him well enough to accept a gift from him despite them living together and having a child together.
The aliens seem to be fascinated with the family. One night they came for Calvin.
The streets were teeming with people, but no one seemed to notice or care what was going on. The aliens must have one of those memory erasers like the Men in Black do.
All I need is for them to come for Angelo and send him back pregnant. Then I would have to decide between Rosamel or an alien as the next heir.
Time flew, and soon it was little Rosamel's birthday. (Due to tight quarters and me not wanting the bathroom showing in the background with the walls down, I took the shots through the window.)
Now that Rosamel has outgrown her crib, I needed to make room for her upstairs. We said goodbye to the chess table, crib, and high chair, and moved the art easel to Calvin's room, so Rosamel could have her own space. Her favorite color is black.
Speaking of extra bedrooms, in this town, there are two Handyman households. The men are brothers. Both families are breeding like rabbits, so I had to go to each house and add a second floor and additional bedrooms.
Nikkita recently had her fourth child.
Perhaps she's getting overwhelmed? I'm not sure what the sad face is all about. I think I've seen some reports of arguments in both households. If this is the case, I suspect it's that Nikkita doesn't think her husband is helping out enough with the kids.
In the other household, I suspect it's because Tania agreed to let Calvin sketch her nude. Not only that, they did it in the public library and in front of the window for all the town to see. So embarrassing!
After asking her to strip down to her birthday suit, Calvin decided to sketch her in very conservative clothing.
But what about the children? Rosamel has made friends with the Handyman kids who live next door (Tania's bunch.)
I can't remember their names at the moment, but the boy doing his homework could be a potential prom date if the family stays in town long enough.
Come on guys! No love triangle drama in front of the child! This town's getting messy relationship-wise, but Angelo is doing his best to make sure Rosamel feels loved despite all the adult drama.
