North Winds Reboot - Part 10 - The Trouble With Abigail and Poorly-Behaved Men
The family has been living in Lin Meadows for 25 days now, and a lot has happened.
Angelo switched his major from science to business and is thriving! He's obsessed with the presentation case and uses it all the time. I've also noticed that he autonomously studies for his classes on his phone.
It wasn't long before Abigail discovered she was pregnant.
Angelo and Abigail had a little girl named Rosamel who will be the next heir to the challenge. (I'm glad to have a girl for a change. The only other girl so far was the founder Polly Maloney.)
Tania Handyman, who is expecting a child of her own, looks like she can't wait to become a mother again. (She has a toddler daughter named Wendy.)
She and some others came over to help Maxwell celebrate his birthday.
Maxwell showed her some pictures of Calvin when he was a baby.
Tania has become one of the family's closest friends.
It wasn't long before baby Rosamel became a toddler.
One of her werewolf grandpas gave her this teddy bear.
Angelo is turning out to be a good dad. He has the nurturing trait. You can tell by the trees that it is fall now, but the family has been here through the summer as well. They celebrated Leisure Day by going to the pool together.
Then Calvin decided he'd rather swim in the ocean and left the group.
Later that evening, as Calvin was roasting himself some tasty peppers, Leif Corey came by. It looked like he was wanting some of Calvin's peppers, but he one-upped him by producing peppers AND hotdogs. (He was apparently really hungry.)
Unfortunately for Leif, he burned his dinner. Oh, well.
It was around this time that Calvin, who is constantly sketching every chance he gets, learned that it is unwise to ask a mere acquaintance if he can sketch them nude.
I think she is the wife of Mike Bloodston, the neighborhood vampire. They live two houses down. Speaking of supernaturals, one night of the full moon was really off-the-hook.
First of all, Calvin lunatic-slapped Abigail. (I just barely missed getting a screenshot.)
Angelo seemed oblivious to what was going on and headed off to bed.
Abigail didn't seem to mind the slap and in fact, started flirting with Calvin. He didn't seem too interested. In fact, I got the impression from when she first moved in, that he didn't think much of her at all.
But as I was focused on Maxwell, who was at Nikkita Handyman's party, when I came back, Angelo was sound asleep in his bed, and these two were all over each other! In fact they were best friends working their way rapidly to finding each other irresistible!
Was it the full moon? Did they have a latent attraction to each other that both were denying? Since they seemed so close to doing it anyway, I nudged them to risky woohoo. Abigail had risky woohoo'd with Angelo earlier that day, so I wondered if she got pregnant, who the father would be.
(On a side note: Calvin has finally become better at his werewolf transformation. He doesn't look like a werewolf - he just acts like one. But at least he doesn't look like this anymore.)
Poor Angelo seems none the wiser to the betrayal of his father and his girlfriend. But the night is young and there's more to see.
The zombies completely destroyed the garden, an alien by the name of Yumay Ayohod paid a visit, the werewolves hunted, the raccoon toppled the trashcan, etc.
Maxwell found Yumay very attractive, and they became fast friends.
He gave her a gift - a book I think.
It was quite the night.
We have already been re-introduced to Tania Handyman. She is the sister-in-law to this guy. Melvin Handyman.
He's a funny-looking guy who looks like a bit of a beast, but he's a fairly nice guy, albeit he has a weakness for flirtatious blondes it turns out. His wife is Nikkita, who is a good friend of Maxwell's.
Their poor kid got his father's looks, and not his attractive mother's.
Anyway, I mentioned that Melvin has a weakness for flirtatious blondes. He asked Abigail out on a date - to the dump of all places!
It seemed pretty innocent at first. They mostly talked. He would sometimes flirt and she would respond, but when she flirted back, he'd just shrug it off, remembering he's married, I guess.
He even interviewed her, either for the paper or he was taking down a police report, I'm not sure which. Maybe he was writing an article on the new salon and consignment store that came to town recently. Abigail joined the stylist career but hasn't done much with it yet.
As the day progressed, Melvin started giving her flowers and becoming more receptive to her charms.
Go home to your wife, Melvin!
Meanwhile, a now pregnant Nikkita was working out at the gym. Abigail is such a troublemaker!
So far, Angelo doesn't seem to know about Abigail and his dad Calvin. For awhile I thought Calvin would have regrets and feel guilty over the incident on that full moon. I even spotted him spilling his sorrows to a bartender. But then I switched (for just a few sim hours) to another family to sort out their bed issues due to another child being born, and while I was there, I got a report that Calvin and Abigail were seen around town arm-in-arm, and when I returned to them, I found that they had snuck off to skinny-dip in the pool together while poor Angelo was over working on his writing skills at the college! There is definitely trouble brewing!
