Riverview Updated - Part 14 - Funke Relationships, Teen Attractions, and the New-to-this-game Arrivals.
The Error 12 issue seems to be resolved now, and I took a closer look at the Funke teen relationships. When I left off we learned that Gina Funke and Marcel Funke were dating, and I knew they were somehow related. Luckily, it turns out they are only related by marriage - not by blood.
Joanne Eastmond married Dante Levin and they produced Gina. Then Dante died and Joanne married Rhett Funke after his wife Sabrina died. Rhett adopted Gina giving her the last name Funke.
Rhett Funke is Gina's step-father and also Marcel's grandfather as Marcel is the child of Spencer Funke, Rhett's son.
Gina is the rich, somewhat spoiled girl who lives nextdoor to the teen group home. She's a genius, perceptive, a light sleeper, and easily impressed. She seems to be good friends with Tanesha Cross, the crazy, kleptomaniac pet lover, but enemies with Ami Burgos.
All the teens at the group home took part-time jobs except Tanesha, whom I sent to the spa to get a job, but she didn't want to start at the bottom and apparently didn't care about making money. Instead she impersonated a professional stylist and gave fashion advice to old ladies.
I think the woman is Joanne, and she seems happy with the outcome. It beats that ensemble she came in with. I HATE that skirt and all the townie women wear it for outerwear.
"You must be just a newbie showing up in public in your work clothes! It's a great way to wind up in jail."
"Now you can take a trip with me down to the station, or you can cooperate and work as one of our informants. I have a few questions for you regarding your whereabouts last Friday."
Ami and Gretchen are becoming fast friends, taking an interest in martial arts and practicing together.
She seems to be quite interested in music, whether it's practicing on the piano or dancing around in her underpants, she seems to want music wherever she goes.
The kitchen/dining area (I added a kitchen sink and some small appliances to make it look more lived in after taking this picture.)
Nash's room. I made sure to give him an easel, and he autonomously paints - just like he did back in Twinbrook.
Cho met Josh Romano at the gym. He is a report processor in the business career, and he has a girlfriend named Kimberlee, but that didn't stop him from flirting with Cho!
Nash went to the park, hoping to find some kids his age. All he found was a robot, but he thought that was pretty neat.
I knew there must be kids across the street, so I sent him over to say hi to Kari Bartley. There didn't seem to be any kids home at the time, however.
I don't remember ever getting this notice for any of my sims before, but poor Nash got it twice! - once on his first day of school and once on his teen birthday (before he aged up.) Poor kid!
I don't think Cho was too impressing with their singing. She just wanted another drink. Both women work at the diner and they stopped by here after work, which explains why they are still in their work clothes.
The bartender could tell she had a rough day at work, so he didn't tell her she was acting like a Karen.
It looks like he has the founder's and his grandpa's red hair. Then it was Nash's turn. Since he was artsy, Cho held his party at the art gallery.
He got to do a little painting and Cho managed to make a nice bracelet without setting herself on fire, so it was all good.
I switched back to the teen group home long enough to learn that they now had a puppy and Tanesha was enthralled with him. I also suspect she stole a sack of flour and a jar of cookies from the bakery as I found them in the family inventory. Maybe I'm not being fair. They could have gotten the items from the grocery store as it's set up as a savvy seller store.
