Riverview Updated - Part 13. Jeb's house and the newest household.

As promised, here is Jeb's house. (I may have moved some walls around and added others due to routing issues or to better fit his lifestyle.)

The lower floor has an empty room still, but so far he doesn't need it.

Dining room.

Half bath.

Upstairs is really empty except for Jeb's master suite. He has one room where he puts things he finds in the dumpster but doesn't know what to do with.

The storage room. Maybe he will eventually turn this into a guest bedroom and then rent it out to a roommate. We'll see.

Walk-in closet.

We'll be seeing Jeb around town, but it's time to meet the next household. I randomized everything and came up with one adult and 6 teens, so I figured this must be some sort of foster group home for teens. I chose the Cloverdale for their house as it had plenty of bedrooms and a separate apartment in the basement for the adult caretaker.

Meet the caretaker, Justine Sexton. Justine is adventurous, a hopeless romantic, a night owl, shy, and unflirty. She dreams of traveling the world and someday meeting an exotic "Prince Charming" to sweep her off her feet, but for now, she feels her calling is to help these youths in need of a trustworthy adult to keep them on the straight an narrow path and give them a firm foundation for an independent adult life.

Now for her charges.

Brad Perlata: perceptive, technophobe, workaholic, and having the photographer's eye. This kid looks like trouble. Apparently he and a few of his friends used to break into other people's house for thrills. I think some of his friends helped themselves to valuables, but Brad was more interested in how people lived their lives. He never had a "normal" family, and was always curious about how other people lived. He'd spend his time looking through photo albums, and photographing the personal possessions of the people while his so-called friends rifled through the valuables. He's now fresh out of juvie and has been placed in this group home. Let's hope he finds that sense of family that he's been craving.

Gretchen Gore - loves the heat, neat, neurotic, and vegetarian. When I was first in CAS, she was in her adult stage, and lordy, she was a large yet very muscular girl. She's an orphan whose father was a famous professional body-builder. She was really close with him, and used to go to the gym and work out with him, aspiring to maybe someday compete in the female bodybuilder competitions. However, both her parents died in a tragic plane crash, leaving her without any close relatives willing to take care of her. She is still Daddy's girl, and despite not having the athletic trait, she will most likely lean heavily into sports and physical activities.

Dwight Beaver. Judging by the wardrobe he came with, I'd assume he's a big sci-fi fan. He has a good sense of humor, loves to swim, is a workaholic and has star quality. I had a whole backstory for him because when he was first in CAS he was a young adult and I didn't realize it. He had the additional trait of kleptomaniac, so I figured he had stolen a car for a joyride and his step-father had enough of his antics. His mother wasn't much of a mother and more interested in keeping her man, so Dwight ended up here. I don't know if he'll end up with the kleptomaniac trait when he ages up, so this may or may not be true. I suspect he was a troublemaker and his step-father had enough of him, though.

Tanesha Cross - probably going to be one of my favorites. She ain't pretty, but she ain't a potato face either. I didn't adjust her features at all. She just appeared this way.

Tanesha is an animal lover, insane, a kleptomaniac, and over-emotional. I picture her stealing other people's pets to keep as her own and not understanding there's something wrong with that.

Emilie Shea - adventurous, daredevil, natural born performer, and vegetarian. Maybe she'll be an acrobat someday. I think she looks smarter than she really is. It must be the glasses. She was kicked out of three different schools for pulling pranks, and her mother decided to focus on her other 5 children and kicked Emilie to the curb.

Last, but not least, we have moody Ami Burgess. She's a loner, unlucky, a loser, and a workaholic. I'm really rooting for this girl's success. She has been bullied in the past which has turned her into a bit of a bully herself.

I keep getting error 12 issues when I try to save this game. I've done everything recommended except Regul Save Cleaner from Mod the Sims. I'm going to give it a little time before downloading the mod just in case more issues are found due to the recent hacking incident on that site.

Here's what has happened so far.

All the kids seem to want part-time jobs and each wants to learn a skill and take a class in that skill. Unfortunately, we can't afford to pay for the classes for everyone, so they will have to learn the skills on their own.

The first thing Justine wanted to do was travel. Sorry girl, you're needed here to take care of these kids. She then wanted to be a teacher which seemed reasonable, so I sent her there to get the job.

Brad and Tanesha wanted to paint, so I sent them to the art studio to learn. They made some rudimentary paintings, sold them, and got some skills.

Dwight and Ami wanted to learn the handiness skill, so I sent them to the library to read the handiness skill book.

Emilie wanted to learn to fish, so I sent her to go fishing.

Gretchen wanted to learn the logic skill, go to the bookstore, and get a job, so I sent her to get a job at the bookstore - two birds with one stone, so to speak. She also was interested in browsing the grocery store and wanted to buy firecrackers, so I sent her grocery shopping and let her also buy a bundle of fireworks.  There she met Marcel and Jess Funke, whom I assumed were siblings. She seemed to take a liking to Marcel.

He would flirt with her, but she was stand-offish.

She did want to be friends with Jess, however.

Meanwhile at the library, Ami was in a snit and wanted to fight someone. She chose Gina Funke as her target.

You should never pick a fight when you're a loser. I gave Gina a wardrobe makeover before she met up with Dwight. They really seemed to be hitting it off; she was flirting with him and everything.

The prom was coming up, so he asked her to go with him. She was nice about it, but she turned him down.

Dwight learned that Gina Funke was in a relationship with Marcel Funke. Wait a minute! I've been watching "Arrested Development" and the Funke girl and her cousin have romantic feelings for each other. I know the Funke name came from the TV series and that some of the Sunset Valley households are based on the show - the Clavells and Gobias Koffi to be exact. The Funke family is a bin family, which is why they are here - because I started with the bin families. Now I'll need to go check the relationship between Marcel and Gina. So weird!

And that's were I got the Error 12 message. Sigh.
