North Winds Reboot Part 4 - Still in Twinbrook

We are on day 44 in Twinbrook. If we reach day 50, the odds of moving will increase from one in 10 to 1 in 5. When we left off, Calvin and Lolly Racket has just gotten married. This seems to have put the idea into Cho's head as well.

Kyngston has been able to hold off of committing, citing their age difference and letting her in on the North Wind Curse. He's encouraged her to seize the day and treasure the time they have together.

I really like Cho. I will miss her when we have to move, but I'll save her to the bin for another game.

"Hey guys, guess what I found floating in the hot tub!"

They're having a moment, here, Lolly. I don't think they care about your discovery.

Speaking of Lolly, it appears her family has abandoned the patriarch, Max.

I went to check on him, and sure enough, he was living alone in his big house. His estranged wife, children, and grandchildren have found housing in other locations in town.

It seems he did make some attempts to prolong his life during his last days. I spotted him working out at the gym.

Grim caught up with him, however.  As for his house, I "converted" the lot with the criminal rabbithole into a community center, so I needed to find a different location for the criminals to hang out. I changed Max's house to "no visitors allowed" and set up the criminal underground hangout in his garage using a rabbithole rug.

Little Nash, son of Cho and Kyngston, is growing fast and soon became a toddler.

Who knows, at the rate we're going, the family might be here long enough to see him grow up.

Lolly autonomously took some time to play with little Nash. I think her own son Angelo, was a little jealous.

The newlyweds seem to be getting along just fine . . . until the night of a costume party at Jed Keaton's house where Lolly became very flirtatious with Jed. Lolly came as a mermaid and Jed was a tiger.

The hot dog lady clearly didn't approve.

Buck Green, the town's tattle-tale went to alert Calvin to his wife's inappropriate behavior.

"I don't see anything amiss, Buck. My wife can speak to anyone she wishes."

"Even hinting at my wife's wantonness if highly improper!"

Calvin's not much of a joiner. Maybe that's why he's not picking up on the clues.

Dude! turn around and see for yourself!

He finally noticed. But rather than calling her on it and making a scene, Calvin decided to make sure she was aware of his feelings for her and started paying more attention to her. This didn't stop Buck from deciding Lolly was easy and making his move. Some friend you turned out to be, Buck.

As the party ended, both Lolly and Calvin overstepped propriety - Lolly by cooking in Jed's kitchen and Calvin by brushing his teeth in Jed's kitchen sink. (And he's supposed to be "proper.") 😉😁

It wasn't long until it was Cho's birthday. Kyngston took her out to the dive bar for some low-brow fun.

The place was pretty popular.

Gala Wolf joined them for dinner. After observing the fact that they were eating nachos, she seemed to be bragging about her healthy diet, but I really don't think buffalo chicken wings are all that much healthier.

Oh oh, watch out Cho. I think she's after your man.

The birthday hour arrived.

Poor Cho was starting to feel her age, but that didn't stop her from making the most of her birthday.

Oddly enough, Maxwell got the want to throw a birthday party for his son Kyngston.

But Kyngston's an elder! I don't think another birthday is a good idea!

It turns out Cho and Angelo had the same birthday, so Angelo's now a child.  His great grandpa Max read him The Sandwich Horror just before bed. I hope he doesn't get nightmares.

There are a couple other children in town.

I think the girl in the purple is a Greenwood. The one in the yellow shirt is Rose Marie Bull, daughter of Marc Brant and Amy Bull.

Amy was enjoying some cocktails while Rose Marie watched the karaoke performances. Amy and Brant live in a one-bedroom house, so I had to create a bedroom for Rose Marie and her baby brother.

On Maxwell's birthday, a strange woman wandered into the back yard early in the morning and joined him in the hot tub. Happy Birthday to you, Maxwell.

It turns out she's the consignment specialist. Her name is Starr Swafford.

That afternoon, Maxwell dropped by the consignment store and let her know he had a great time, and would like to get to know her better.

Then he went upstairs to engage in some risky jellybean eating behavior. He didn't die, though.

He just turned blue and got very warm.

In fact he made it home in time to celebrate his birthday with the family and friends.

Lolly gained weight while I was away working on the Amy Bull's house. I guess it happens to the best of us. (You could kind of see it at the costume party as I'm telling this story a little out of sequence.)

Kyngston was wanting to bond with Angelo, so he took him bowling at the community center after stopping by the junkyard to collect a little scrap. Little Rose Marie Bull showed up too, and Angelo shared a secret with her.

I never saw this secret before. Usually it's something like "my favorite color is blue."

Meanwhile, Cho was home befriending a raccoon.

Another date night for Kyngston and Cho.

Soon it was little Nash's birthday.

Gavin helped Nash blow out his candles so Kyngston and Cho could be free to take pictures and celebrate.

But tragedy struck! Right in the middle of the celebration, Kyngston up and died! It took the family a while to realize what had happened.

Gavin was the first to notice.

Cho, your baby-daddy's dead.

I found Nash in the other room. "My Daddy's dead! This is the worst birthday ever!" Poor little tyke.
