Tiny Town Part 13/ Tailor Gwynne Part 1

 Mission Accomplished!

Ziggy has been hard at work accumulating enough money to build his house. In addition to catching fish to sell, he's keeping a perfect specimen of each type of fish he catches in order to fulfill his lifetime wish of having a perfect private aquarium.

The problem was, I think he caught all the types available in Appaloosa Plains, so he had to take a vacation with Annie and Frank to China. There he caught dragon fish and several types of koi to complete his collection.  Due to the reset and cleaning out the inventories of all the residents, Annie went without her snake basket and little red dragon. Still she was hard to motivate to take pictures. She just wanted to sit around and read.

It looks like the only pictures I took from China was that of Vidcund Curious who was also vacationing there. I was glad to see that he was back to his old self and not bald and all one color.

There was another glitchy sim, however.

Once Ziggy got home and put all his fish in fishbowls, satisfying his lifetime wish, he spent his points on the inheritance award that gave him a little over 30,000 simoleons. That combined with his sale of fish he caught brought his budget up to 41339 simoleons for building his house.

All his neighbors were curious and came over to check the place out.

"Are you sure this fireplace is up to code?" Bea asked.

I'm not sure what Frank's problem is. He's not adjusting to becoming a mature adult very well. He's having a midlife crisis. He wanted facial hair. Frankly, I think he looks better without it, but it's not about what I want, I guess.

Maybe he wants to be like Cyprus.

This is the entryway to the house.

The bathroom can be entered from the main living space, or from the bedroom.

The bedroom. Ziggy has three aquariums to house all his perfect fish, because 13 individual fishbowls was just too weird and cumbersome.

Here's Ziggy whipping up his first meal in his new kitchen.

The overview.

Ziggy's an animal lover, so I assume after I leave him, he will get a pet. I got him a food dish and box of pet toys just in case. I think Cyprus wonders if his own dog will be spending a lot of time over here.

Tiny Town is now complete. I saved the household in it's present state; the household plus lot in its present state; and each individual sim in their present state to drop in other games if the mood suits me. Now I will leave them to their own autonomy and move on to the next household. This isn't goodbye, but any picture with them from here on out will be with me not controlling them.

On to Tailor Gwynne. Tailor is based on a name given to me by a Simming friend. Here is the character I came up with:

Tailor's parents owned a truck-stop diner out in the middle of nowhere, and she grew up helping out and working for her parents. She therefore has some cooking skills and some charisma from waiting tables. It was her parents' hope that she would someday take over the business, but Tailor had no intention of spending the rest of her life in the piddly little town she grew up in. She was made for bigger things. Her dream is to get away and explore what the world has to offer. She wants to someday become an expert mixologist and own a high-class establishment that books the best live entertainment in town. Upon graduation from high school, Tailor set off armed with money she had been saving since she was 16, and an inheritance from her grandmother. She moved to Appaloosa Plains, a few counties over from where she grew up, thinking it's better to be a big fish in a small pond that the other way around. She found a modest starter home and started her new life.

I just dropped her in to town and let her be while I was finishing up the Tiny Town Challenge. Then I went back to see what she had gotten up to. It turns out she got up to plenty.

First she went to the fanciest restaurant in town to get a job. A girl has got to start somewhere. Then she got herself  knocked up by old Feisal Phan, who had a few bad dates with some of the girls in Tiny Town back in the day. Old Feisal apparently was a wealthy man, and seems committed to Tailor, and had moved in with her before I dropped in on her. (In fact, I was having a hard time finding her, because the house I had put her in was labeled "Phan" rather than "Gwynne.")

Because the house had only one bedroom and no room for a crib, and Tailor was about to pop, I moved them to the only house available that I knew had a crib in it (because I put it there for a different family.) It's a small starter house, but it comes with a good-sized fenced in field. It would make a great horse property, but Tailor and Feisal are not interested in horses.

Tailor's traits are workaholic, natural cook, neat, rebellious, and diva. Feisal's are great kisser, artistic, neat, daredevil, and party animal.

"You want your own bar, darling? Well ol' Feisal will get it for you. We can build our own right here. You can take those mixology classes, and we can throw parties here every night if you want. You can work on your bartending skills, maybe I'll get my old guitar out and entertain the guests, and heck, I might even take up acrobatin' - I was pretty nimble when I was a kid. This way you can be near the little nipper if he or she needs you."

The bottom floor has the bar, some tables, an old record player, bathrooms, and a blackjack room. I was getting frustrated because Tailor was spending way too much time at the blackjack table alone. Finally I realized it was in a room by itself with those swinging doors to it. I could lock the doors to everybody until a party was being thrown. I was wondering what kind of situation would warrant locking the doors to everyone. Now I know.

Upstairs has some game machines. Someday I might switch them out for a small stage and a couple instruments, but there really isn't much space up there. The stage might have to come with Tailor's next bar.

The place is called The Flamingo, but I'm tempted to call it Cadillac Ranch after the Chris Ledoux song.

🎶There we called it the Cadillac Ranch
They're parking cars in the old bean patchThere's a bar in the barn and the place stays packed
'Til the cows come home at Cadillac Ranch🎶

I think there's a neon car from one of the packs I recently purchased. If I can find it, I can replace the Flamingos with it.

Tailor's a natural. I think she's up to level 3 already.

Their house is small, but seems to be doing the job for now. I upgraded the furniture because sugar-daddy Feisal was loaded. After taking this picture, I expanded the baby room, shrunk the bathroom, and added a back door to the house.

The baby's coming! I got them set up in the nick of time! Tailor gave birth to a little girl and named her Gloria. Feisal is a doting father. I checked, and he never married before nor had any kids.

Old Feisal has his lifespan bar completely full, so he could go any time. Once he's gone, I'm thinking Tailor and her baby might go on to the "big city" - (I just bought Roaring Heights and am itching to check it out.) For now though, they are taking one day at a time. Both Feisal and Tailor had wishes to get married, so why not?

You're a lucky man, Feisal.

As far as Feisal is concerned, whatever Tailor wants, Tailor gets - including a motorcycle.

She took it when she needed some "me-time." Feisal stayed home with Gloria, so Tailor could enjoy the Spring Festival. There she met some of the Tiny Towners.

She wasn't too impressed with Ziggy. She found him too pushy and flirty. She got down on the dance floor with Annie and Opal.

Both Annie and Frank enjoyed the kissing booths.

Both of them kissed appropriately - not like horses eating ice cream cones.

Late that night our happy couple was contemplating their upcoming wedding.

The wedding was held on the horse training grounds because it was kind of set up to host an event like this. All that was needed was a wedding arch and a table for the cake.

And a hole that Cyprus had previously drilled, needed filled in, but Feisal was on the case. He didn't want his beautiful bride dropping into a cave network on an important day like today.

Here are some photos from the wedding and reception.

His name is Nicky Cantu, nobody knows him, and he wasn't invited to the wedding! You'd think if he was going to crash a wedding, he would at least try to fit in.

"I just love seeing couples united in holy matrimony, don't you?"

Tailor sat down to eat cake with young Anitra Riffin. I wonder if Nicky Cantu is Anitra's "plus one." She seems to be wondering why he didn't wear a suit like a normal person.

It looks like Beatrice is helping someone with her homework.

Tailor was enthralled with Nicky's ghost stories.

Tailor must have had a nanny cam app on her phone, because she noticed little Gloria was not being taken care of. She headed home to see where the babysitter was.

Poor Gloria was hungry, messy, and very lonely, and here was the sitter, Josef Sheets, amusing himself at the blackjack table! (This was before I realized I could lock the door to it.)

You are evil and irresponsible Mr. Sheets! I sent Tailor over to fire him, but he had already collected his money and was headed for the door. I don't think she had the opportunity to fire him which means he will probably show up to babysit again if they need one. He also gave Tailor a "whatever" look when she had her back turned, the punk.

At least little Gloria is back safe in the arms of her mother.

Time to check in with Feisal at the reception and see how things are going there.

Oh no! Beatrice, back away from the buffet! Feisal, it's time to shut the buffet down!

"Oh, what was I thinking? I bet it's going to take several trips to the gym to get back to my normal shape!" (Despite being an excellent cook, Beatrice has NEVER had any weight issues. Maybe she's stress eating.) It looks like she might be in a relationship with Cyprus. Trouble in paradise, I wonder?

After getting Gloria settled in bed, Tailor made herself a night cap. She couldn't believe she was now Mrs. Phan.

Because of the babysitter incident, Gloria isn't comfortable leaving on a honeymoon. She and Feisal might take a trip together when Gloria is a little older - if Feisal lives that long.

In the meantime, they are throwing parties regularly at The Flamingo.

Tailor bought a stroller so she can take baby Gloria around the neighborhood. Gloria loves spending time outside.

They went past the dog park on their way home where I spotted the Tiny Town crew. I stayed behind to see what they were up to.

Are Annie and Beatrice having a falling-out?

Frank, aren't Cyprus and Bea together? Why are you giving her flowers - and why is she so excited to receive them?

Are you asking her out to dinner?

The rest of the gang aren't too happy with you!

I think Opal has been seeing Frank, which is why she was so upset. She's trying to win him back while Bea tries to patch things up with Cyprus.

It looks like Bea and Cyprus are patching things up. I'm not so sure about Opal and Frank, but a little while later, it looked like Opal forgave him. Annie is wisely staying out of it.

That's it for now . . . .
