Tiny Town Part 6

Some of the residents were getting stir-crazy, so I thought it would be good for all of them to have a night out together. They went to the Port-a-Party.

This time, Beatrice played the DJ. I noticed this place seems really dead if there isn't someone acting as DJ. It's missing background music, so I added a public speaker and a dumpster that was functional for diving after the group went home.

Ida Coyle, the consignment specialist, was also there.

(The reason Cyprus is in his swimsuit is because this place has a small pool behind the bar.) He wants to pillow fight with Ida, but he doesn't have the option for this on a community lot. He also wants to kiss her, but she's engaged to a guy named Jamal, so I don't think it would go over very well. He askes her to join their group.

This would be a good time for Annie to try and build her relationship with Ida, but she chose to spend most of her time playing games with Maisy.

Meanwhile Beatrice and Cyprus played skeeball together.

They have been autonomously flirting with each other; Beatrice often initiates it;  . . .

I think she was asking him out a few days ago, . . . but then he hit her with a water balloon which is a real turn-off for Beatrice.

This wasn't the only time I saw something like this, but one of them always manages to ruin the moment.

Nothing romantic happened at the Port-a-Party, and it was getting late, so they all went home to bed.

I guess it's time to see if  Annie's alarm system works.

Here he comes! At the last minute he turned from the main doors and went up the stairs. This is Venkat Jackson, the same guy who was here last time.

He took Annie's big screen TV! She LOVED that thing! Then he went downstairs and I thought he was going to go through the main doors where the alarm is mounted just inside, but nope.

He took the community outhouse. I guess we don't need it anymore since Annie has a bathroom that is accessible to everyone.

Venkat was enjoying himself way too much!

He headed back to Annie's place, climbed the stairs, went through her living area, over the roof deck, and into the upstairs gallery room where he stole some of her artifacts. He must have cased the joint and planned this out to avoid the burglar alarm.

I guess I need to move it to the outside of the gallery.

The gang took the day off from the shops to get supplies. Beatrice tended to her garden and baked and baked to replenish her bakery rack. Cyprus went to the junk yard and detonated another junk pile and collected scrap. I think he also invented another doohickey to sell. Annie took some more photographs and went to put them on consignment. Despite their hanging out the other night, Ida was less than hospitable.

I think this will remain a "strictly business" relationship.

The following day the storefronts were open again. None of  Annie's or Cyprus' items sold, but Beatrice sold out. I wonder if it has anything to do with the fact that I sent both of them to reapply for their old jobs? Either that, or it was the fact that neither bothered to "mind the store."

It looked like Cyprus was making a love connection with Benni Hennessey. Which Bea was clearly unhappy about.

"What do you think, Rodney? Should I throttle that skin-tight wetsuit-wearing hussy?"
I think Benni overhears this conversation.

Rodney is disappointed that she sold out of pies and thinks she should be baking up some more rather than plotting violence.

Don't worry, Bea, Annie's got your back. She lured Benni to the back yard and bored her to death.

It looks like it will take more than angry neighbors to keep these two apart.

Early the next morning, a new girl arrived on the scene. Her name is Opal Gem, and she's artistic, lucky, flirty, a mooch and has commitment issues. Let the drama begin.

Annie was the first one to meet Opal, and learned that she makes jewelry, items of glass, and also seeks and sells gem stones. It is her dream to build a cute little Victorian style house.

Time for a quick breakfast, then get to work.

She made a couple coin bracelets and then had a failed glass attempt. She will soon be getting her own table to sell her wares.

The stores were open the next day and Opal took the time to get to know some of the locals. One of the people she met was Elias, who seems to have gotten over Beatrice.

Of course Opal knows nothing about Elias and his broken relationship with Beatrice or his brief flirtation with Annie, so she's flattered.

"Wow! They're even my favorite color! How did you know?" she exclaimed.

"You're so sweet! Hey, I'm new to town and a little strapped for cash; you wouldn't have a few simoleons to spare, would you?"
Elias gave her two simoleons.

Guess who autonomously got wind that Elias was here and is storming over.

"What do I have to do to make it clear that I don't want you here?!?"

"You're not the boss of me! I didn't come to see you anyway. I am so over you Bea!"

"Ha ha! Mean high five! How's if feel to be on the receiving end of one of those, huh?"

"Oh! Who's upset now?!? I think I'll go play in your sprinkler."

"You had better not if you know what's good for you!"

Elias made good on his threat and Beatrice made sure everyone knew what a disrespectful scumbag he was.

A few hours later, Bea turned her attention to another soldier. (This is the guy Annie went out with but didn't care for because she thought he was too stuck up.)

Beatrice doesn't seem to mind his "self assurance" and finds him attractive.

To round out the evening, Beatrice whipped up some spaghetti and invited all the people on the lot in for a "welcome to the neighborhood" get-together for Opal.
