I have Nraas Story Progression, and didn't realize it was on "normal" which is way too fast. Not to mention I have everyone set on high free will. I have since turned Story Progression off to take a breather, but here's what happened.
The Coast Guard cutter arrived along with a crew of six: 3 young men and 3 young women. After a day or two Steve Rajkupal, left in a huff. He said there weren't enough beds and he had to sleep on the floor.
Sea Glass Cove now has a resident. Not only that, but . . .
. . . the population is growing. I saw Anna Chin walking down the road, and she didn't look pregnant at the time. She moved into Sea Glass Cove with Steve. (I need to fix the hyphenated names setting in Story Progression because I just get confused after awhile if everyone is hyphenated.)
This wasn't the only love connection between the Coast Guard crew.
Kao Kahale and Jessie Caldeira are also expecting a little one. I don't think babies are allowed on the boat or in the base, so they will be needing to find a place of their own soon. I'm thinking I can move them to LeRoy's boat and move LeRoy and his pup (yes he adopted a dog when I wasn't looking) to the Coast Guard Cutter. Apparently dogs are allowed - James seems to have opted for a dog rather than a girl.
In the previous installment, I mentioned that LeRoy Turner was developing a romantic interest with a woman he met at the library. That all changed when the Coast Guard crew arrived and he fell head over heels for the lovely Bianca Rossi.
In other news, LeRoy got into an altercation at the base. He walked up to a paparazzo named Takisha Ladner and slapped her silly.
I guess he was angry that she was snooping around trying to get pictures of the pregnant Coast Guard members. He didn't want vicious rumors going around.
We've got some new houses and community lots to explore and people have moved into the houses, so we'll leave LeRoy to his own business and see who else is in town.
Red Snapper Lookout by Sandraelle has arrived. The lighthouse looks a little different because I didn't have some of the items she used, so I improvised.
This house is inhabited by Kia Mejia, a single woman, but once I turn story progression back on, she probably won't be for long.
Kia is a couch potato, clumsy, and excitable, but she's also good and brave. She's been working on her charisma skills as she someday wants to be leader of the free world. She wants a job in the political career field, but for now she's in the military. Poor Kia is also Cape Albacore's first crime victim.
Susanne Hilton figured Kia was a wealthy sim and wouldn't miss a few of her fancy "toys."
If you're gonna steal, steal big, I guess. Personally, I would have approached it from the dock, but that's just me. I tried to wake Kia up to confront her, but Kia refused to get out of bed.
And there goes the sail boat. 😢😢 To be fair, I didn't actually see her take the boat. She was swimming back and forth trying to figure out how to do it, I think. Then I got distracted by the jet ski coming around the bend at 1 am and wondered who would be out this time of night, and could they be of any assistance?
Oh! it's you, LeRoy. Have you come to help? Where'd you get those glasses and those duds? Pretty impractical for jet skiing, don't you think?
LeRoy did stop at the house, but I guess he didn't see the burglar and thought he was too late. He turned around and left.
But wait, Susanne isn't done yet. "What kind of goodies could be in this garage?" she wonders.
Not the shuffleboard table! Have you no shame?
I bet she stole that bag from Santa! How else would she be able to fit a sailboat AND a shuffleboard table in there AND be able to lift it with one hand? She must work out or something. Kia's going to be so disappointed when she wakes up. But let's leave her to her sorrow and see who lives in The Strand.
This lovely abode was created by Ciane. It is home to Diego Purdy, an artsy fella with both the artistic trait and the photographer's eye. He wants to be a stylist. Luckily, there just happens to be a salon in town now. This strip of community lots is the creation of Charlottekn. It includes a styling salon, a tattoo parlor, and a laundromat.
We also have a new Civic Center Building - a City Hall/Military/Police rabbithole, adapted from Isla Paradiso by Hidehi.
But I digress, back to Diego. In addition to being artistic and having the photographer's eye, his other traits include charismatic, good, and coward.
He had the wish to learn the writing skill, but instead went autonomously to the drafting table and started working.
His lifetime wish is to be super popular. His favorite color is black, which I guess explains the suit. He is also sweet on Maria Killian. Maybe little Jan will have a new daddy some day.
This brings us back to LeRoy. He and Bianca are getting serious.
I foresee a housing crisis soon. Which brings us to my new build. This is the "Almost a Starter" house, pricing out at around 22,000 - 23,000 simoleons. It's in the lagoon section at 93 Blobfish Path.
It features one bedroom, one bathroom, a combo kitchen/living room area, a back deck, and a large storage shed/garage.
I should have saved it for one of the couples, but I dropped my friend Rocco Sample in to playtest it, and I think this house suits him. Rocco had a sloppy jalopy in his inventory and he had a wish to get a juice pong table. Luckily there was room for both items in the shed.
Rocco is a Story Progression generated Sim, much like Diego Purdy and Kia Mejia, but he's from another game I had going awhile back. If I grow attached to a character I save them to the library and they can live again in another story. In this story, Rocco wants to be a private eye. He's got a few onery traits like hot-headed or mean-spirited if I remember correctly, which make him fun and unpredictable.
Here he is at the library after going to the Civic Building to register as a Private Eye. Maybe he can track down the burglar who stole Kia's stuff.
