It was the day of the prom and Sandi still didn't have a date. She was in the library studying when she noticed her best friend Darlene's brother Arlo over by the bookcase. "I wonder if he has a date for the prom? Maybe I'll ask. We could go as friends." Arlo, to her surprise, said yes. It turns out Arlo must have developed a crush on her when she hung out with Darlene over at the Bunch house and they worked on their homework together.
Frankly, I'd have been mortified if all that attention was on me when I had my first kiss! But to each his own.
Sandi is thrilled to have a boyfriend. She divides her free time between him and Darlene.
Arlo seems to be rather bookish. I always see him at the library, and he seems to like talking about books and writing. Maybe he'll be a famous author someday.
Darlene seems to prefer the arcade.
Speaking of the Bunch family, Lisa Bunch got pregnant and married baby daddy VJ Alvi. They live in a modest starter home near the beach.
If I remember right, she had a little girl and named her Raven. I stopped in briefly to place a crib.
I was wondering why all the people on the lot were going ga-ga over the plants at the arcade and not playing the games; they were especially frustrated with not being able to get to this particular plant.
Then I realized this lot was mislabeled as an art gallery. Once I changed it to an arcade, what a difference it made!
Better luck next time, Molly.
Molly threw a party at the fishing area by the fancy houses. This save has a little coffee shop/internet café. There she encountered River and gave her a combination graduation/wedding present.
"Please accept this gift of one of the Bunch family's soccer balls I happened to nab while paying them a visit."
"How thoughtful! Thank you, Molly!"
Jared Frio was hitting on Monika Morris, which concerned Madison, as she knows of Jared's reputation about town.
Molly and her boss Jared have a complicated relationship. (More on that later.)
I was curious as to what River's life with Gobias was like so I switched over to her for a bit. I found her, Gobias, their dog Bella, and Justine Keaton all enjoying the pool on one of the last days of summer.
River kind of does her own thing. She has taken up gardening, and was wanting to join the police force, but her lifetime wish has to do with painting and writing, so I got her an easel as there wasn't one available at the new home.
She went to a party without Gobias where she saw "auntie Molly" in the arms of Hank Goddard.
To be fair, Hank was dancing with a lot of different women, including Vita Alto.
Where's your baby-mama, Hank? Oh, here she is, with your two children. Too bad you had to give up your man-cave to make room for a nursery. The toddler is Quinten, and the baby is Ronald.
Back to River and Gobias. It turns out, Gobias isn't much of a husband. He has a wandering eye and doesn't care who knows it.
He even has the audacity to flirt with his mother-in-law - and Fiona isn't the least offended. Maybe it's because this took place at her elder birthday party and she wants assurance that men still find her attractive.
River chose to ignore her husband's antics and instead played in the sandbox with Stiles McGraw.
Let's roll the clock back a few days prior to Fiona's birthday. Poor Fiona is getting a bit fed-up with her long-term roommates.
Here she is getting snippy with Sandi for skipping her after-school job to hang out with Arlo. She's probably also complaining about her lack of helping out with the housework as both Molly and Sandi are slobs and leave Fiona to deal with most of the messes.
To add insult to injury, Molly's sketchy sister, Twyla Summers, had the nerve to rob poor Fiona of her computer!
This is Fiona's favorite chill-spot when she has had a bad day.
Fiona has been working sporadically on an biography of Stiles McGraw, and I think has finally finished it. Stiles might be a little sweet on her, but Story Progression seems to have other plans.
Hannah Briggs is the neighbor across the street who works in law enforcement. Sandi has been over to her house to meet her and play a couple games of chess.
However, I have never seen Hannah and Fiona hanging out together.
As for Molly, I think seeing her friend Fiona age up to an old lady has created an urgency for her to approach life with gusto and live recklessly - especially when it comes to men. She might humor Gobias and his romantic overtures, and enjoy dancing close with Hank Goddard, but she's also been making advances on Thornton Wolff who is playing mind games with her: flirting with her and kissing her, but then getting put-out when she responds to him.
She's also sweet on the barista she met awhile back. His name is Dirk Ernst, and unlike all the other men she's been hanging out with, he's actually single. However, he's tied to his work station, romantic interactions aren't on the menu (usually) and the boy will simply not woohoo with her. I've tried making him active, but that's not an option even with Master Controller. She did manage to get a kiss out of him after luring him to the spa's hot tub that happens to be on the same lot as his coffee shop where he works.
I don't know why he doesn't want to woohoo, Molly. He looks a little freaked out.
One fateful day, Sandi was off at school and Fiona was at work, but Molly had the day off. She had been wanting to invite someone over, so she decided to see if Jared Frio was up for a pillow fight. He was.
One thing led to another, and things got steamy.
The result was risky woohoo in the shower.
There seems to be no regrets.
Sandi got home from school a little later and noted shirtless Jared hanging out in the backyard. "Looks like Mom's got something going; good for her," she thought.
A few days later, Molly asked Jared out on a date. She realized she was pregnant, and felt Jared should know.
Does Jared find this new revelation embarrassing? He makes a quick recovery.
Still, the dude keeps looking at his watch. Do you have somewhere else you need to be, Jared?
Molly is feeling peckish, so they go to the bar next door and she orders hot wings for the two of them.
Suddenly Jared gets in a snit, and Molly doesn't understand what his problem is. Maybe he doesn't like hot wings?
Molly learned the possible reason for Jared's bizarre behavior the next day when she read the newspaper.
Wow, Jared. So that's how you are! Looks like Sandi may have to help her mother raise this baby.
