As stated in the earlier post, prom is coming up and the teen girls greatly outnumber the teen boys. I forgot to turn story progression on, so no romantic relationships were formed between the teens, unfortunately. However, the home for wayward boys/ nectary has been built and populated. I still intend to add to it, for example putting a greenhouse on the property for the winter months, but here are the residents.
There were no electronics in the monastery, as Father Tim felt boys should learn skills and be involved in the running of the vineyard. All the boys autonomously selected books and sat down together with Father Tim to get some reading in - except for the little tyke at the far right of the picture.
This is little Edgar Velenez, and his traits (randomized) include insane, inappropriate, and animal lover.
Father Oliver, who grew up at the boys' home, is now a young adult, and Father Tim really wants him to stay and carry on his legacy of providing refuge and life skills to at-risk young men. However, Father Oliver may have other ideas in mind. He is family oriented (all of the household's skills were randomized) and has had thoughts of having a family of his own. Also, by his choice of books and his wishes, it seems he is interested in vampires. Maybe he would like to become one someday. For now though, he has noticed that Edgar hasn't gotten with the program, choosing to play make-believe instead of reading like the rest of the boys.
He praised a fantastic book, encouraged Edgar to improve his skills, and even offered a book to Edgar as a gift, but Edgar said, "No thanks."
Let's become familiar with the rest of the household.
Father Tim is disciplined and a genius, and places a lot of importance on the boys' education and acquisition of skills. He is also a heavy sleeper, a vegetarian, and loves to swim.
Next, we have Ricardo Velenez, Edgar's older brother. They were both placed in the home when their parents died mysteriously. (Some think it might have been a mob hit.) Ricardo dislikes children, but has a good relationship with his little brother. His other traits are workaholic, excitable, and angler. He gravitates to books about sports. Also he might be gay from the autonomous interactions and the pop-ups from the prom indicating he was asking guys to dance.
Note: I like to play with randomized characters and just tweak their appearance but not the traits or preferences. As a result, I don't create gay characters in my gameplay, but on occasion, one or two will pop up. I tend to leave them to chart their own paths and find love - or not- on their own. Story Progression will sometimes find them a mate and sometimes not.
Next to Ricardo is Trevor Pinkerton. I don't know if he's gay or not, but I think Ricardo is attracted to him, and they did spend some time together at the dance. Trevor hates the outdoors, is inappropriate, a party animal, and kleptomaniac. These traits landed him in some hot water where the law was concerned, and the courts had him placed with Father Tim in hopes that he can get Trevor on the right path.

That hacker Maggie Stone met Trevor at school and found him attractive. She's got a romantic interest going with William Russo at the moment, but with new boys in town, she just might start snubbing William after the dance. Maggie is a perfectionist, loser, snob, and supernatural skeptic, so she might have a problem with William's mother being a fairy.
The third teen boy living here is Jason Smith.
Jason is neurotic, charismatic, loves the cold, and is a party animal. I think he was getting a little wild for his mom and stepfather, and when they tried to tighten the reins, he ran away. After he was caught, it was determined that some time spent at the boys' home might be the best solution for him and might just save his mom's and stepfather's marriage as Jason's relationship with his stepfather wasn't good.
The kid with the helmet is Bobby Robinson, and he was born with an unstable personality. At the time of this situation, he was a bot fan and mean-spirited. He has since lost the bot fan trait in favor or perceptive. I don't think Father Tim has recognized Bobby's struggles with his mental health and therefore hasn't taken him to the hospital for his infirmity yet.
I don't think I've focused much on the Fillmore girls (Korie Devine's girls) lately. Both have grown up to teens. Tracy Fillmore came home with one of the boys after school. She is currently a C student, and her lifetime wish is physical perfection - mastering the fitness and martial arts skills. She is rebellious yet disciplined, artistic yet also athletic. She seems to be a little nurturing as well, though that's not one of her traits.
Annabelle Fillmore is the one who is working part time as a commercial actor - a job her mom got for her. However, this job has taken a toll on her school performance as she's currently a D student, and last time I was with the family, she got in trouble for her bad grades. Annabelle kind of has a hostile look about her while her sister Tracy looks more angelic. Annabelle's traits are excitable, clumsy, easily impressed, and party animal. Her lifetime wish is to be a gold-digger.
Both girls attended the second day of the court case as Saul Goodman thought if would help the jury sympathize with Korie if people could see her family. Here Tracy is asking Annabelle if she thinks they will be able to stay in the house.
The second day of the trial was like herding cats. I even installed a second television in the room (behind the red plaques) in hopes of keeping the judge and witness seated. I think the main problem was the game glitched and didn't recognize the party, so I had to go retrieve the various participants and make them attend. The trial started two or three hours late, Grim waltzed in even later than that . . . .
Apparently a paparazzo was caught by Grim's monster, and some of the people who should have been in court, including Alexander Beaumont, ran out to witness it.
(In retrospect, maybe it wasn't such a good idea to put the cemetery, or at least Grim's door, on the same lot as the city hall.) Everyone stood around and stood around, including Grim himself.
Graciela Gann wet herself, and smoke and sparks were coming off of Robin Mitchell. I thought I was going to have a dead vampire due to a glitch, so I decided to reset the town and call it a day.
The next day was leisure day, so court wasn't in session. Father Tim and Father Oliver took the boys out to Pinochle Pond to fish and have water balloon fights,
and Edgar seemed to be doing his best to make an enemy of Bobby, but Bobby ignored him and read a book instead.
Sally didn't get the day off, as it was prime time for beach-goers, and she is now level 8 of the lifeguard career, despite her insistence of having beer (excuse me, juice) for breakfast.
I've never played this far into the lifeguard career before. Her lifetime wish is to save 50 people, but this goal keeps resetting itself, so she's never going to accomplish that. It would be nice if she can top the career, though. She exudes a lot more confidence these days.
"Sun's out, guns out."
It seems like everybody went out and bought boats when my back was turned. Rocco has one . . .
and so does Boyd Medley, (not pictured.). Even little Antwan Sw0rd has a boat, and I didn't even know kids could use these boats!
The taxi boat nearly ran over Sally while she was trying to save Rocco from drowning.
That driver needs to be reported! It was a rather calm day overall,
But Sally did manager to save Graciela's life.
That evening, Ben, Alex, and Sally decided to dine out at the restaurant where the intention was to strategize and prepare for the last day of court. However, as they walked into the restaurant, Ben was immediately entranced by the stunning Jenni Adam, (the same woman whom Alexander struck with the white glove at the school fundraiser.) Alex and Sally opted to dine alone outside,
while Ben and Jenni dined inside, and Ben got to know Jenni a little.
"Yeah! Hotdogs! My favorite! What kind of car do you drive, by the way?"
Ben and Jenni were getting a little rowdy by the end of the night, and were asked to leave.
The next day was the last day of court. Alex was a little nervous.
"I really hope I'll get the house back. I spent a lot of money fixing it up the way I liked it."
"Don't worry, honey. I think today will be your lucky day."
"I'll always consider myself rich, as long as I'm with you."
The first witness of the day was Boyd Medley who lived next-door to Beaumont House. Boyd reported that Alexander and Korie have both been very welcoming and cordial to him when he moved into the neighborhood after winning the lottery. They were both very patient while he constructed and reconstructed his home. He had always felt the house belonged to Alexander; however, he was not expert when it came to understanding their relationship with each other or what kind of agreement they might have come to regarding the estate. He asked to be recused.

Next, Maggie Stone, the nanny, and the one believed to have hacked the computer and changed the name on the deed to the estate, took the stand. Maggie took the fifth, and pointed out that she was still a minor, and she learned in her high school biology class that, in teenagers, the connections in the brain that link a person's actions with the recognition of the consequences of the action are still forming, and therefore process slower, so even if she had done such a thing, and she wasn't saying she did, she shouldn't be held responsible for her actions because the brain's connections are not fully formed until a person is about 25 years old.
As is tradition in Adventureland, the oracles are consulted and the results of the consultation are also taken into account. First, each party must use the love tester. While the love test is used primarily to test a person's romantic love and woohoo skills, it also is a good indicator of love in general - brotherly love, love of human kind, etc.
Korie went first and scored a 4 on the love meter.
Alexander beat her, scoring a 7. Next they consulted the magic ball. The closest question that could be asked was "Will I be rich?" I have never used this item much, but I started using it for one of the sims in my Emerald Valley game, and the ball always gave her a negative answer. However, . . .
Alexander's answer was "A thousand times YES!" and . . .
Korie's answer was "Not ever a modicum of doubt!"
Each lawyer gave their closing remarks; the scorecard was tallied, and
in the end, Alexander came out on top, having the most talented lawyer, the most friends in the community, the most skills between him and Korie, and a higher score on the love meter.
I did some shuffling of houses and funds to get things where they needed to be.
Ben went back to live with his son Albert, and was paid his 50,000 fee.
Sally and Alexander sold Sally's house and moved into Beaumont House.
Korie and her family moved to a nice but far more modest home in town.
And while I was moving people around, I moved Virginia Thompson and her son Tommy to a two bedroom house that was in their price range because I realized Tommy was now a child, and there was only one bedroom with a full-sized bed and a crib where they were living. Here's their new house.
It's pretty small, but has a lot of outdoor space and overlooks Maywood Park. Virginia may have found the man of her dreams in Carlo Poe, Rocco's long-suffering roommate. Could little Tommy be getting a new daddy?

Virginia wanted to join the business career, and since Tommy is now in school, I figured why not?
Saul Goodman was "kicked out," and I followed him to the new house where the game placed him.
It's a nice house, but he spent all his attorney's fees to get it. Don't worry about him, though. Saul/Jimmie, always has an angle to work. I think he's going to get some roommates and get involved with the mob. He was registered as a rock collector, so I sent him to the quarry to gather some gems and metals for "pocket money" to get him by until he gets a mob job.
There he met that sketchy Roger Kadukin. Roger might be good potential roommate for Saul as he's probably tired of hiding out in the attic of Daisy's tiny house. He is a hacker by trade, but could easily slip back into the criminal or mob career.
Saul took his finds to the consignment store to sell them, (which was closed, so I just sold them from the inventory.) There he met an attractive young fairy, whose name escapes me.
They went out to eat, and he learned that she had a boyfriend named Charles. Oh, well.
In other happenings around town, Santo Bobo, the former castaway, is gaining fame, always followed by the paparazzi. This particular one seems unskilled with the camera, taking the picture of the back of Santo's head.
Santo doesn't mind the attention, however, because he wants to be famous.
In fact, he's forming a good relationship with this particular one, who is encouraging him to write a book about his experiences as a castaway.
For now, Santo is still living in his tent. Maybe he would also be a good roommate for Saul Goodman.
The mixologist he used to hang out with at the pub connected to the firehouse has now become a paparazzo. I found her hanging out at the film studio lot, gossiping with the barista.
After gossiping, she went on a rant but didn't seem to know what she was going on about. The barista thought she was being childish.
I think she might be a good choice for Santo - if she stays away from Grim's door.
