Emerald Valley #8 - Anitra Simpkins and new couples around town

Sometimes the game creates a character that just cries out for attention. This is the case with Anitra Simpkins, who tends to insert herself in everyone's life. She wears many hats, and not just that atrocious witch hat she often sports.

She was the woman in clown face at Spring's bachelorette party, where she made friends with Hugh Kidding, the party dancer . . .

She was the woman who became Elaine Siew's band member - part of the Woohoo Warriors duo. . .

She was also the woman who stole Jeanine's lunch out of the fridge at work.

She met Terrence, the town vampire, . . .

and became his mistress.

So I think it's time to pay her a visit and see what she's about. I found her living alone in an rather empty three bedroom home equipped with only beds, a kitchen, and functional bathrooms. I helped her fix up her house and throw a gift-giving party as it was almost Snowflake day.

Anitra's traits are great kisser, excitable, mooch, green thumb, and angler. She is also fond of playing her keyboard, and she's pretty good at it.

I had her invite a variety of the usual suspects to the gift-giving party. The dress code was formal, and music was provided. A few people brought food. The darling of the party seems to be fair Juliet Gains, who must have recently aged up into a young adult. All the old men were clamoring for a dance with her.

Normally, I really hate the outfit she's wearing. On which street corner is this considered formal wear? But for some reason, it suits her. I just wish the leggings coordinated with the top, but I'm too lazy to fix it at the moment. Siddartha had a strange fashion choice as well - especially since he's a scientist and not involved with the magic school.

I really think Athena should dump him. He's always coming on to other women.

One of the first things I had Anitra do is kiss Terrence, and she learned that he was married to Autumn. She didn't seem too upset about it, however. Autumn isn't Terrence's first wife. He was once married to Patty Wolfe, the mother of Bridgett the fire chief. But Patty died, I think of old age, but I'll have to check to make sure. Terrence seems to be a ladies' man, and flirts with a lot of females.

After the group ate, they opened gifts.

Everyone seemed happy with their gifts except for Anitra who go an ugly stuffed toy.

Anitra took some time getting to know Hugh Kidding a little better, which I think made Terrence a little jealous as he must have taken Terrence's seat. At least I think that's Hugh, it's hard to tell with his clothes on. 😁 He seems older, but all of the sims have been aging recently.

All in all, the party went rather well. Terrence stayed after everyone left. It's the time in the town when the original young adults and adults are growing old, and their babies are growing up and having babies of their own. Anitra is feeling her biological clock ticking. Many of her friends, including her band mate Elaine have aged up to elder, and Anitra has just a few days left. Perhaps that's why she made the choice she did this fateful night.

After everyone had left except Terrence, she and Terrence enjoyed some flirting and dancing. Terrence was getting very hungry, and Anitra was afraid she'd get too old to have a child, (she had some baby thought bubble in the past day or two,) so she asked Terrence to turn her into a vampire.

He obliged.

She woke up the next morning with a new lease on life. She decided to adopt a daughter and get a housekeeper.

Welcome home Bethany! Bethany loves the outdoors and is artistic. She likes island music, tofu steak, and the color lime green.

She's not sure what to make of the housekeeper.

Or of the sudden change that came over her new mom.

Speaking of babies, I learned that fair Juliet from the party, who was a child or maybe even a toddler when this game began is now married to Antwan Sw0rd, and they have a baby named Roscoe.

In other news, Jeanine Thyme married Abdul Henderson-Gains, and they needed a house, so I built them one and got to know their new household better.

Before this, Jeanine was living in a shabby shack with three cats, and Abdul was crowded in with his family, and I'm pretty sure they were short on beds.

Jeanine's cats' names are Bella (the mother) and kittens Diddy and Coal. The father of this litter is Eafs Ware-Wolfe.

Here's some interior shots of their new house.

Both Abdul and Jeanine are evil, and all three of their cats are aggressive, so I'm sure this family is a real treat. Also Abdul is part imaginary friend, a trait passed down from his grandfather, and he's hot-headed. Jeanine is merely grumpy along with being evil. Now that I know this, I'll have to watch them a little more closely when I see them out in public.

This family isn't the only one in need of a house. Joaquin Harman, now an elder, married a sweet young thing named Dolores, and they have a daughter named Silvia.  For some reason, Joaquin couldn't move in with his wife and daughter because, even though Dolores was living in a large house, it didn't have a crib for Silvia. I straightened out this problem and merged them together.

Joaquin is handy, a genius, good, a heavy sleeper, and a schmoozer, while Dolores has a good sense of humor, is a great kisser, lucky, a party animal, and a genius. Baby Silvia is a loner and artistic, so I don't know how they produced her, but her being so different from her parents might make for an interesting story down the line - depending on what other traits she gets as she grows. While Dolores isn't artistic, she's interested in the arts, so I got her a piano and a guitar. I got baby Silvia a block sorter as both parents are geniuses, and probably want her to be one too.

Terrence might just have designs on Dolores as well, and she seems to be attracted to him too, so we'll see what develops.
