Northern Winds Part 16 - The next generation arrives.

When I left off last time, Kyngston was in need of a mate, so he could start a family, creating the next generation's heir. He played the field and met several women . . . .

Karrie Cromwell was one of them. (They risky woohoo'd.)
He had a thing going with Susanna Dumbledore for a while as well. He delivered a singing telegram to Susanna, and she came on to him while her husband slept.

These people are shameless. (I'm not orchestrating this, by the way; it's high free will, and I'm only controlling Kyngston in these situations.)

He also met up with Katie Deppiesse, the consignment clerk, who had a boyfriend named Cleveland.

Having a boyfriend didn't deter her from woohooing in the fortuneteller's caravan with Kyngston.

Cleveland, Katie's boyfriend, can be seen in the background playing the guitar. Apparently he is not the jealous type.

Speaking of people who are not the jealous type, Karrie Cromwell definitely fits that description. She apparently invited Gillian, the girl who lives in the trailer, over to her house. Kyngston was hired to deliver Gillian a telegram, so he went to Karrie's house to do so, and one thing led to another . . . .

The brazen duo woohoo'd in Karrie's shower as Karrie watched. What a perv!

"Please take your shenanigans elsewhere! I need to use the toilet!"

At least Kyngston was gentleman enough to keep his back turned. I think Karrie needs a laxative.

Oh no! We've got a clogger!

Thanks for helping out, Kyngston.

After the bathroom debacle, they all sat down to burnt mac and cheese. Karrie needs to work on her cooking skills.

These were the auspicious beginnings of the next generation's heir - it turns out Gillian got pregnant.
Kyngston invited her out to eat and, after making small talk about the space program, suggested she move in with him and his family.

Gillian was the one to break the news to Kyngston's father Maxwell.

"I hope you don't mind if I move in. By the way, I'm pregnant with your grandchild."

Soon, the day of the blessed event arrived.

Gillian gave birth to a little boy and named him Calvin.

There's the happy mother! 😄😄
I think Gillian was afraid the baby would get in the way of her dream of being a lifeguard, but Kyngston is turning out to be a doting father, and she has the extra support of great grandma Polly and grandpa Max, so she was able to have it all.

Maxwell also has an active love life. Kelly Wolverine asked him out on a date.

They went boating. It seems Max thinks she talks too much.

He was also asked out by Deidre, who is married.  Maybe her marriage is on the rocks.

A full moon came around, and Max lost complete control, attacking poor Katie Deppiesse.

Katie was very upset by this turn of events, so Kyngston tried to smooth things over with a singing telegram.

🎵 You were bit by a werewolf,
but do not despair;
your life is not over,
you'll just have more hair. 🎶🎶

🎵🎵 I know it's not funny,
So please take this bunny,
I hope you feel better
about this real soon! 🎶

Good job, Kyngston, I think she feels better now. A few days later, we come across poor Katie again.

Incidentally, on the night of the full moon, Max also won a moon-shaped tiberium from the claw machine! I wondered if there was something new he could do with it as I had never seen this before, but when he got sick from carrying it around, he put it on the ground under a bush and it turned into a spire and grew like tiberium typically does. It's now worth around 39,000 simoleons.

Meanwhile, on that same night, Gillian got attacked by a zombie.

Time passed and little Calvin's birthday came around. The family decided to go to the park to celebrate. They all got on the "fun bus" - Max's chief mode of transportation, being the rock star that he is.

When they got to the park, Gillian was confronted by her boyfriend Bernard, and accused of cheating.

Johnny Dumbledore immediately came up to Polly and held her hands.

As is typical, Maxwell disapproves of his mother's love interests.

In fact, he let her know in no uncertain terms that she was being stupid to encourage Johnny.

Time to blow out the candles!

Father and son. It looks like Calvin inherited Maxwell's dark hair despite the fact that great grandma Polly, mother Gillian, and father Kyngston are all red heads. In real life, he would not be able to be anything other than a redhead because the redheaded gene is all either parent had to offer, but that's the genealogist in me speaking. I guess in Sims, it's the dark hair gene that's recessive.

Kiley Sommers showed up and started singing for tips . . . .

and Kyngston and Kendall joined in. Torrey Dawkins showed up as a zombie in broad daylight and it wasn't a full moon. I wonder what that was about.

Karrie thought he was adorable.

It seems Karrie and Kingston's flame has not yet gone out. I don't think Kyngston is willing to commit to marriage with Gillian, although Gillian has a wish to get married.

The family has now been living in Huckleberry Bay for 32 days. The clock is ticking. I'll close this post with a few other favorite shots from this time period.
