Happenings Around Roseward - post honeymoon.
After Gus and Athena came back from their honeymoon, they poured their energies into their careers. It wasn't long until Athena advanced to Lieutenant.

Gus was promoted to Intern - no more podium polishing for him! He also earned an honorary Business degree and a new trait: dog person. His boss, Elvin Dumbledore, (apparently Story Progression pulled the surname from my bin), lives in the same cul de sac, and their proximity and shared love of music have undoubtedly helped Gus on his way up the career ladder. Gus is also good friends with one of his coworkers, Bobbie Haas, who is romantically involved with Athena's mother. Bobbie has the odd habit of wearing a towel everywhere he goes. I don't know if he's a nudist, or what, but it seems acceptable for him to go to work in the political career wearing nothing but a towel. I suspect he's cutting deals and exchanging political favors with influential senators while hanging with them in the sauna. Maybe I need to build an exclusive club near the town hall that has a sauna . . . hmmm. Anyway, Bobbie also seems to have a love of music.
Bobbie, don't you dare!
Dude!
As you can see, the heavy snow has turned Roseward into a winter wonderland. Gus and Athena had an action packed weekend as both were off work. They started by going to the park.
This picture captures Gus's constructive and Athena's destructive personalities.

The background reminds me of a Christmas card. Athena decided to make her own snowman - no boring classic snowman for her!
Gus built his igloo with one thing in mind: woohoo! Apparently they weren't too subtle about their tryst, as it drew the attention of a couple disapproving bystanders.
Athena had been wanting a tattoo, so the next visit was to the new salon/tattoo parlor in town.
Sim logic: apply the tattoo to the arm, and it appears on the ankle.
Next they went to a movie: Sharks! On Land!, which they found very entertaining. While they are in the movie theater, let's catch up on what is going on around town. It seems the adults in town aren't the only ones who are two-timing their romantic partners.
As mentioned in the previous post, Athena went to her mother's costume party where she got into an argument with her sister Jeanie, calling her white trash.

Jeanie was dating Estevan Yates-Engle, but she was pregnant with Seth Greenfield's baby! Later, notifications came in that Athena's other sister, Amelia, was dating Jamie Yates-Engle AND Seth Greenfield at the same time. It seem Seth is the teen version of Don Lothario. I bring this up because, while Gus and Athena were watching the movie, I was lurking around the lot and spied that culprit Seth. Jeanie had just given birth to Seth's baby girl and named her Kimberly.
The other guy in the picture is NOT one of the Yates-Engle boys, but has the last name Lindquist. It seems like our boy Seth had been honing in on his girlfriend as well.

It looks like Seth got his comeuppance! After this the Lindquist guy started to cry. Maybe he and Seth had been friends before Seth tried to steal his girlfriend.
By the way, Jeanie Thyme not only has baby Kimberly with Seth, but she also has baby Russ with a guy named Emil. She really gets around. The last I heard, Jeanie and Emil had a big public fight.
I also spotted our friend Bobbie Haas in a jail cell, this time wearing overalls. Perhaps he was arrested for indecent exposure?
The writing's on the wall, buddy. It's time to change your ways. Perhaps you can do some community service by giving a science lecture about the importance of wearing the correct clothing when outdoors in order to avoid hypothermia.
The movie is apparently over. Erm, Athena, stop trying to sabotage the equipment! You are law enforcement for crying out loud!
Athena was up to all kinds of mischief. She really enjoys tormenting her sister Amelia's boyfriend Jamie. Here she is implying his mother was a glow worm.
Pick on someone your own size, Athena! Remember, you just came here for a latte.
At the end of the day, Gus and Athena had a nice dinner at their favorite restaurant followed by a friendly game of pool.
Athena won. Gus thinks she should become a pool shark.
They went home, intending to spend a quiet sleep-filled night, but it was not to be. They were visited by a character named Locke McFadden, who must not have realized he had broken into a cop's house.
Why she thought she'd like to go ice skating on a pond with this creep is beyond me. Did she hope he'd fall through the ice?
To top it all off, Gus got up bright and early the next morning, having slept through this whole incident. He started to fix breakfast . . . .
What would he do without Athena? Luckily it was Sunday, so neither one of them had to go to work.
After catching up on her sleep, Athena was feeling the need for a workout so she went to the gym and worked out until she was fatigued. Meanwhile, Gus was craving sugar. First he stole candy from a baby. . . .
Then he kicked the gumball machine, hoping for a free gumball. This didn't go as planned.
Way to go, Gus. Now Bonehilda has to fix the machine.
Time for some sustenance from the bar. Mmmmm . . . hot wings!
Meanwhile, Athena finished her workout and tried her hand at blackjack. I think she did pretty well for a first-timer.
She's got more chips than the other guy, and he doesn't look too happy.
I'll leave this post with a picture of the following afternoon. Gus had just gotten off work and decided to have cookies with Seth Greenfield before going home. I'm glad he has a respectable work outfit - no towel or overalls for him!
All their friends are breeding like rabbits. Gus and Athena autonomously risky woohoo on a daily basis, but no baby yet. If one of them expresses a desire to have a baby, I'll use the try for baby interaction. If not, I'll wait until one of them reaches the adult stage before trying for a baby. Right now they seem content to be a couple despite the nursery in the house Gus purchased as a teen. We'll see what the future holds for them.
