Northern Winds Legacy Part 9: The lost episode - Dustin as a child

 I played for four sim-days without saving, and my computer crashed. I got some good screenshots of what took place.  I am now on day 24 of Redwood Harbor. This is the longest the family has been able to stay anyplace so far. Here's what happened that was lost:

Both Dustin and Laura had their birthdays on the same day. The family celebrated at a park nearby and invited a few of their friends. Renee bought a bunch of fireworks for the occasion. 

Dustin aged up first.

He wished for a block table, and I thought, "What a good idea for a birthday present!" So I bought him one and put it in his room. When he got home from the party, this was his reaction, the little punk!

He cheered himself up by playing video games on his Grandma Polly's computer.

"Are you Elvis Presley? I think my grandma has some of your records."

Little Laura also aged up. I don't know where the white/blonde hair came from. 

The next day was Sunday, and it was raining. Early in the day, Polly's boyfriend Hugo stopped over. Maxwell has never liked any of Polly's beaus, but he has good reason to dislike this one. When Polly was in the other room talking to my simself on the phone, Hugo offered Renee some flowers! Renee refused, but he kept flirting with her.

Maxwell gave Hugo a piece of his mind. He insulted Hugo's intelligence, then found out Hugo was a genius. 

It looked like a full-blown fight would break out, but Renee stepped in to diffuse the situation.

"Ugh, I will not be able to unsee that!" said Dustin when he walked in on the smooch festival. 

Later that afternoon, Polly and Hugo took Dustin to the peer to have some fun. He really liked the karaoke machine. 

They also played some video games. The adults seems so serious about it.

Polly quit after awhile to sing karaoke with Dustin, but Hugo spent most his time at this machine, and he drew a crowd.

Dustin waited somewhat impatiently for this old man to get off his favorite game.

Polly and Dustin enjoyed some snowcones together and took some pictures in the photo booth.

Polly and Hugo did more than just take pictures in the photo booth.

I discovered at the birthday party that my simself had given birth to a boy named Corey.

Apparently, both my simself and my simself's husband work in law enforcement. After my game crashed, I went back in and switched to my simself and basically let it run through the same time period, upgrading some of their furniture and outfits, granting what wishes they came up with, etc. and have switched back to pick up the Gains story where I left off. Whatever skills and accomplishments the Gains household might have had during those days are gone, but oh, well.
