It is now winter, and the family has managed to stay in Salmon Woods 24 days. They have formed some love connections and close friendships.
Spooky day arrived, and it coincided with Kyngston's teen birthday, so they threw a costume birthday party.
Scotty Kirkpatrick came as a fire fighter, while the alien member of Maxwell's band came as a . . . circus ringmaster?
The alien brought his son, who was dressed like a super hero, and Polly's friend Nikia dressed like someone from the future.
Some of Kyngston's teen friends showed up. One of them was quite impressed that the family knew the only werewolf in town.
Al came as a clown, while Miki Dutton was a cheerleader. I'm not sure who the others are.
Both Polly and Maxwell came as hotdogs.
When Kyngston aged up, his resemblance to his father became evident. They both have interesting faces. I think Kyngston's eyebrows really contributes to his character.

Kyngston now loves the cold, is a kleptomaniac, a virtuoso, and a dog person. He got a dog shortly after his birthday.
Polly and Maxwell discovered some hidden talents during this time. Polly learned she is a darn good bullrider. She went right to wild cowgirl mode - the highest setting - her first time out. She even switched to a cowgirl costume for the attempt. She clearly wondered if she was in over her head at first . . .
It was clearly a challenge to stay on, but she made it to the end without being thrown.
In the end, she was glad she took the chance. Maxwell was trying to kill some time before going to work, so I sent him to the winter festival. I checked back with him a few minutes later and found that he was a pretty good skater.
Maxwell has become interested in a co-worker who is married. She asked him out on a date, and they hit it off. Her name is Juliet Girard. Juliet is a hopeless romantic, handy, brave, and has a good sense of humor.
They met at the dog park, then went bowling. One of Max's goals was to score a 60 bowling.
On his game with Juliet, he scored 21. I think he let her win, because he then played a game alone and scored a 63. After the date broke up, Maxwell stayed behind and played darts. Meanwhile, Kyngston asked Kami McCray out to the arcade and they played juice pong.
Kyngston also got his first kiss!
A few days later, while the old folks were out of the house for the day, Kyngston invited Kami over, and one thing led to another, and they risky woohoo'd in the shower. I was focused on one of the others, but got a message that Kami said Kyngston had issues, and she was leaving. I thought they hadn't "completed the assigned task," but she was doing the stride of pride as she left.
Kids these days! A few days later, they risky woohoo'd at the theater after seeing "I'm Dying, Let's Dance." If Kami is pregnant by the time the family has to leave, they will take her with them. If not, she has to stay behind.
Speaking of Woohoo, Polly learned that Al was a werewolf, and rather than being repelled by the knowledge, she was turned on by it.
After a belly rub, they woohoo'd in the bathroom at the arcade.
I think it was a risky woohoo. I caught Polly autonomously reading "Totally Preggers" shortly thereafter, but she doesn't appear to be pregnant (I haven't checked her status, so I don't know for sure.) It could be that this was one of the few books at the alchemist's shop that she hadn't already read. She has read over 60 books.
She has taken an interest in alchemy, and has reached the 4th level so far. She made some potions and bought some others hoping to have a mystery drink party, but she needs to reach level 7 before she can pour the potions into drinks. She may just have to throw them at people, which won't be as much fun. I can create a wheel to specify who gets what potion, however.
In addition to her relationship with Al, Polly has two best girlfriends: Nikia Hart and Miki Dutton. She ran across both of them at the museum, and suggested they have a girl's night out.
They went across the street to a lounge and Miki and Polly jammed with the piano player while Nikia had a few drinks. As usual, no one else was there, which was disappointing.

I had to go to Nraas and change Miki's outfit as she clearly didn't realize this was a formal affair and chose a t-shirt, capris, (which clashed with the shirt) and hiking boots. Nikia did okay in her clothing choice, so I left her alone. After jamming for while, the girls all sat down to dinner together.
Another woman that Polly befriended was Jess. She kept getting the want to talk with her. She assumed that Jess might be a witch, because every time she saw her at the library, Jess was wearing a witch hat.
It turns out, Jess is not a witch, just a die-hard Harry Potter fan. On day 24, the North Wind came calling. It's time to move and start over. One last party, and they are off to Saaqartoq.
