LEPacy Challenge Generation 9 - What a Scandalous Town! Thanks Makers of Story Progression and Traveler!

 LEPacy Challenge: Generation 9

In this installment I added Supernatural and created a large Supernatural Hangout near the criminal warehouse. It features the elixir store, witchy skill-building floor, magical salon, a reading room, a secret place for vampires to sleep, a study/office attached to the reading room, a bar with pool table, a fancy restaurant, a coffee shop, and a gym. There's also some extra space to add something else. Here's the front and layout of the place.

Ground floor - left to right: elixir store, gym (which continues to upper right, and coffee shop.

Second floor - left to right: witchy skills training rooms (It looks like I forgot some lights). Magical salon in upper left corner; reading room and office space with secret vampire room in upper middle (blacked out room); the werewolf bar and game room.

Third floor- left: unused space. Center and right: sit-down restaurant with small arcade in corner and piano.

There is also access to the roof balcony which features two hot tubs and some extra tables.

I might put some haunted landscaping along the front. Then I plan on creating a lot that features the Vault of Antiquity and Fairy Arboretum and some tiny fairy houses. Across the street, I'll demolish two of the lots with fallen-down houses and create a festival lot that includes the fortune teller caravan.

I wish there was a way to specify which tables would be served by the waiter from the restaurant. This is Gwen, who decided to act like "a Karen." (My apologies go out to anyone actually named Karen, but this situation fit the meme so well I couldn't resist.) She sat down in the coffee shop on the ground floor and ordered a cheese sandwich from the the restaurant on the third floor.

The poor waiter trudged all the way down to deliver the sandwich at which point "Karen" didn't want it anymore and asked for Tri-tip Tofu Steak. So he went all the way back up and down again, bringing her the steak. The steak was too cold for her liking, so she reordered it. As he was going to fetch another warmer plate (and I suspect he spat in it) she lost her patience and went up to the reading room where she ordered spaghetti.

(Access to the reading room is through the gym and up the stairs.)

I guess she found the spaghetti suitable. Just to be clear, I didn't control Gwen aka "Karen" - I was just observing her behavior. Gwen is actually a good friend of Snuggles. We will see her later in a different situation.

In addition to building this venue, I also upgraded and repaired some houses so sims could move around and some really needed to. This town is turning into  a regular Peyton Place. There are several love triangles and squabbling couples having babies together.

We learned about Gwendolyn Gains' indiscretion in the last installment. I checked in on them and they were divorced, but Garrett was still living in the house and they were enemies. I moved him and his puppy to a new house as I figured they would all feel better if he left.

Garrett didn't stay in his own house, but quickly married his girlfriend Carisa Lindquist and he and the dog moved in with her. I got a notice that he and Carisa got into a fight in public. Maybe she found out about his attraction to his boss.

I ran across Raul Hearns at the townhouses Snuggles and family used to live at and still owned - he was renting one of the units. I checked his status as I knew Gwendolyn had a fling with him and found he had one girlfriend and two romantic interests going.

This is Raul and the only woman he doesn't seem to get along with. She also rents one of the units.

One of Raul's romantic interests is Esmaralda (Looney) Lindquist - she was Esmaralda Looney, and Snuggles met her at the hospital in the last installment. Snuggles interviewed her at a party, and it looked like she probably liked to gossip but preferred to keep her own secrets.

Snuggles also interviewed Gwen Henderson, who was acting like "a Karen" earlier.

She looked nervous - maybe she was trying to defend her bad behavior at the supernatural hangout.

Once when I switched back to my LEPacy household, I went looking for Gina and found her at her friend Athena Thyme's house. As mentioned in an earlier posting, her parents fight a lot, and they were quite frosty toward each other during this visit. They keep reproducing though; Athena is the oldest, and she has a sister who is a toddler, and at the time of the visit, Athena's mom Leslie was pregnant with another girl. Poor Athena has to share her room with two babies. Athena's parents - especially Gavin -  thought Gina was behaving rudely, but I don't know what she did.

As she aged up to a teen, Athena acquired the mean-spirited trait (I wonder why.) Here she is antagonizing her father.

Athena is the Nancy Drew of the town. Even though she is still in high school, Story Progression has placed her in the investigator career. Oh, the dirt she can dig up in this town! I really like her and think I will try to get her together with Gustav, Gina's twin brother. He's evil and she's mean-spirited, so they'd make quite a pair.

On another occasion, when I switched back to the LEPacy household after fixing someone's problem, I found Snuggles visiting a woman named Shante Engle-Banks. She's married with no kids (that I know of) and she and her husband Luke are happily married and approaching the elder state in a few days. However, Shante is also hiding a secret.

I checked her relationships, and while she doesn't have any elicit affairs going on in this town, she apparently is practicing bigamy, as she has another husband in another town! (The wonders of the Story Progression and Traveler mods!) She looks kind of familiar, and her Ingle name seems familiar, but I don't know how far back I came across that name. Could it be that Story Progression in conjunction with Traveler would move in a character from a previous town on this save? Fascinating! Anyway, I had her send a love letter to her other husband, Shon Ingle. Poor Luke, I think he is completely unaware of the situation.

Shante definitely has a type. The husband in another town is also a blonde.

In other news, Snuggles finally discovered the Imaginary Friend potion, and Gustav used it on his friend Fluffs - this was the day Gustav was to turn into a teen, so this is probably why Fluffs showed up as a teen. I also got a notice the following day that said it was Fluff's birthday, so I wonder if he will age up to young adult. I kind of hope not, as I would like him and Gustav's sister Gina to get together.

Simicon scolded Gustav for skipping school. Snuggles arranged for the twins' birthday party to take place at the Central Station and invited only kids and teens, but she didn't reserve it and it seems like EVERYONE showed up. At one point I counted and there were twenty five sims on the lot.

Of course, Gwen Henderson (aka "the Karen") decided to go into labor in the women's bathroom just before the festivities began.

Leslie Thyme and Simicon were more concerned about the clogged toilet.

Snuggles had to leave Gwen in the restroom so she could be present at the blowing out of the candles.
Gustav gained the excitable trait and Gina gained the inappropriate trait.
I think Gina looks a lot like Eleven on Stranger Things

It turns out Gustav's imaginary friend Fluffs thinks Gina is hot!

The notorious Raul Hearns showed up to the party singed, and I don't know why. Then he started mooning over Snuggles. Really, Raul? You don't have enough girlfriends as it is?

Gwen decided to forgo the cake and go to the hospital instead.

She gave birth shortly thereafter, and I remodeled her house into a two bedroom the following day.

Now I think I have all these houses in this subdivision in livable condition.

Gwen's house is directly under the barn in this picture - this is before I added a second story.

As the party wound down, it became evident that everyone was tired and ready to go home. The party was a modest success.

Now for the teen adventures. . . .
