North Winds Legacy Part 4: Making Friends in Anne Arbor

 Both Polly and Maxwell set to making friends and getting used to their new surroundings.

One of the first friends Polly made was Salvatore Way, the tattoo artist.  She challenged him to a trivia contest,  . . .

 . . . and he passed with flying colors.

Then Polly got a tattoo. (On her ANKLE, Salvatore!) Polly also met Tonia Barajas, the stylist.

Salvatore is in the "friend zone;" however, Polly did meet the next "love of her life," Gino Neuman.  She went out to the big town to investigate the nightlife there and came across Gino at Club Basix.  

They talked and danced, and she learned Gino was in the music industry. She was getting tired, so she got his number, planning to get together with him at a later date.

The next day, Polly called Gino and asked him out to Hipster's for some coffee.

As she was just getting to know him, she got a call from Demetrius, who was the mixologist at the Red Light Pub. He lured her out to a creepy abandoned house, then called and told her he couldn't make it. 

 

Those little white spots around the bushes are skeletons, so this must be where the criminals dump the bodies. Polly ended up calling Gino back and talking of love and loss.

Meanwhile, Maxwell met a couple guys at school, both babysitters, no girls yet. The one he's trying most to befriend is Matt, who is a kleptomaniac, family oriented, and flirty.  The other guy is Dax, who among other things, is a daredevil. Either one would make a good mischievous friend who could lead him into trouble.  Maxwell looks so much like the nerd trying desperately to get into the popular group. 

It's difficult to keep a friendship with Matt, although it would help considerably if Maxwell would quit flying off the handle and calling him a dummy.

Matt thinks Polly is pretty, ("Dude, your mom's hot!") and likes to flirt with her - and she flirts back, which surprised me. He's jailbait, Polly, look out!

She did flirt a little, but she's definitely more interested in Gino.  They went out bar hopping together.

I think Polly is trying to convince him there's a baby sea monster in the aquarium behind them. I don't think he's buying it. 

and they even had a jam session together.

They decided to for a band called Wild Gooseberries. Hopefully they'll have a few gigs before the North Wind comes calling. For now, they have decided to date exclusively and see where things lead.

Whatever comes, at least Polly and Maxwell have each other.

(There was a couple more days of adventures, but unfortunately, the game crashed, and those days weren't saved, so we'll leave it at this point for next time.)
