LEPacy Challenge - Kids become teens; another trip to Oasis Landing.

 When I left off, I was contemplating getting a cat for the family.  This is Mr. Pickles, an elder cat.

Jeff, the youngest child, has embraced his inner prankster and pranked his immediate family and his descendants.

Tracie got even with Jeff by leaving the stink potion on his desk, which he drank when he woke up hungry. (It appears potions can't be thrown at people like elixirs can.)

Jeff's older brother, Jasper, has aged up to teen and gained the nurturing trait. As a gift, his father gave him his sprite, as it was getting neglected and Jasper was more likely to take good care of it.

The family now has a female butler named Rose Chance. Previously they had a male butler named Morris Cowart, but Morris was electrocuted while trying to fix the dishwasher. He survived, but must have decided the job was too hazardous, and quit. 

Linus is looking for ways to spend (or invest) his lottery winnings. He bought the arts and sciences academy, where he goes to do science things on his days off.  

He also bought two simbots and a pretty fancy house called the Auspicious Atoll in Oasis Landing. He learned that he could get a memorial in Oasis Landing if he contributed 50,000 simoleons in the present to some future beneficiary fund, so he plans to do that as well. I was trying to find the space ship, but there's no room to park it on the home lot, and it doesn't seem that it can be bought and placed on the arts and sciences lot. Maybe he can try to buy one next time he's in Oasis Landing. 

The simbots he bought are SIM, a female, who cooks and gardens, and Y-66R who entertains and gives massages.

The stinky young lady is the mascot for Oasis Landing, who showed up as Jeff aged up to teen.

Jeff gained the virtuoso trait. He went out and bought a guitar for his birthday.  I didn't realize the future guitars came with amps.

Jeff is supposed to be a freelance scientist if he's selected as heir. He is also supposed to perfect a skill and spend a lot of time on a hobby without income from it, so maybe guitar will be fit the bill for both goals of hobby and perfected skill. 

Some changes occurred in the descendants since the last visit: Jasper's original descendants (Jamar and Nadine, and elderly couple) were not his descendants anymore, but a family with the last name Mosqueda was.  I believe there are some Mosquedas in Lunar Lakes, so I'll see about that. Jeff's descendants were reduced to just Aubrey this time.  I don't know where his sons went, or if they ceased to exist. I switched to Aubrey, and he had neither son in his tree. Since I'm into genealogy, this tree issue in the "future" drives me nuts.  

Anyway, the ancestors and the descendants didn't get along very well.

Jasper tried to get to know and befriend the teens in his family, but they were not very cooperative.  They wouldn't group up with him to go anywhere or accept gifts. When one descendant peed himself and Jasper threatened to "erase him," all hell broke loose.

Jasper lost the fight, and to add insult to injury, his mother put him in time out.

This was a little hypocritical, as before they left for Oasis Landing, Tracie learned some martial arts,

then went over to her nemesis Frida's house and beat her up. (That's where I learned you can't throw potions at people like you can elixirs.)

When the family returned to Lunar Lakes, Jeff's imaginary friend Riley aged up. At the same time, Y-66R tried to give Tracie a full-body massage and dropped her.  The juxtaposition of these two events and the expressions on their faces really cracked me up. (Note: only Jeff can see Riley.)

That's about it for now. Linus will age up to elder in a day or so, and then I'll focus on the teens.  I'm leaning toward Jeff being the heir at the moment, but that's still up in the air.
