Visiting older games: Reclaiming Roseward ; Aspen & Vinny

 I took a break and dropped in on a couple of my older games.

Reclaiming Roseward - The premise of this story is the town of Roseward fell to a mysterious, contagious, and deadly illness. In order to protect the rest of the country, the government quarantined and walled off the town for several decades. The inhabitants went crazy and destroyed all means of communication with the outside world.  

Today, various probes have been sent in to test the air, water, etc. and have determined that the virus is gone and the area is safe to re-inhabit.  The first organization that wanted a shot at the town was Plumbob Pictures, based out of Bridgeport.  They enlisted Lenny Shutter and his architect wife to scout out the area and report back, which they did on June 8th, 2021: https://sims3addict248.blogspot.com/2021/07/greetings-from-roseward.html

Then Lenny's family, Puzzle Wilder (an up and coming actress and musician), and a handful of other Bridgeport residents moved to Roseward to start rehabilitating the town and film the movie version of Zombies? Zombies! as well as create a satellite movie studio for Plumbob Pictures.   

Since then, Lenny and his wife Amber have parted ways and Lenny lived in an apartment building for a little while. Lenny's lifetime wish is to woohoo with five different sims in five different places, but I don't see where the game is keeping track.  I know he has woohoo'd with his wife, a random sim he met at a bar, and he has two girlfriends on the line right now. . . .

In this episode, Lenny grew tired of apartment life and purchased the only house that still had its walls and rooms intact that he could afford: 

It had outer walls and a roof, but no floor or inner walls.  With his meager resources he has managed to put in floors on both levels, a stairway, a kitchen, and a bathroom.  This took a few days.  He was using the bathroom in the school next door and eating in their lunch room until he got the bare essentials.

The girl in the picture is his estranged daughter with whom he is trying to establish a relationship.  He lives in the same neighborhood as his ex, and next-door to one of his lovers, Puzzle, who is now married.  Puzzle did manage to sneak off with him and spend the night at his house, but she was very annoying.  He tried to go to sleep, and she'd get up and start playing the guitar in his bedroom, waking him up.  Puzzle has an evil streak, so she was probably doing this on purpose.  They got through the night, and Lenny prepared pancakes in his new kitchen.  He doesn't have much in the way of furniture - just this park bench and an easel. 

Lenny has put aside photography as a career and has been focusing on painting lately. 

Puzzle isn't the only lover in Lenny's life - he used to live in the apartment with Vanessa Batt, who is also an artist.  He met up with her at the gym, and one thing led to another . . . 

The blonde woman in the picture is his psycho ex-wife, which made for an awkward situation. So that's what's going on in Lenny's life at the moment.

Another place I dropped in on was Storybrook County (Lite) where my 4 Seasons challenge couple Aspen and Vinny are living with Vinny's simbot Gary.  Aspen was about to give birth when I last was with them.

Before giving birth, she got together with a friend, Betty Crenshaw, and had some hotdogs.

Then she decided to improve her baking skills and went to the bakery and made some cupcakes and other treats.

After Aspen left, I remodeled the bakery lot as there is just too many empty shops.  I turned one into a coffee shop, and I think I'll put a restaurant upstairs.

The next day, as Aspen was fixing dinner, she went into labor.

She left the pan on the burner, so I thought for sure there'd be a fire, but there wasn't.

Aspen and Vinny had a baby boy and named him Bernard.
