LEPacy challenge - Gen 7: The goings-on in Sunset Valley
Cliff and Linus are settling into Sunset Valley. After setting up their house and buying a pick-up,
they went out into the town and started meeting the residents. One of the first people Linus met was Lisa Bunch.
Then after the first day of school, Linus ran some errands and came home to find VJ hanging out at his house doing homework. They decided to do their homework together.
It was getting late, and the boys were getting tired. VJ has no sense of boundaries. He went to Linus' room and took a nap instead of going home. This forced Linus to sleep in his dad's bed as Linus didn't want to jeopardize any potential friendships early on.
Meanwhile, Cliff started working at the new salon and began giving makeovers - sometimes with limited success. He lost some of his progress toward topping the fashion designer career when he moved - he was back down to a level 2.
One of the Frio brothers seemed quite interested in the make-up for sale.
A few days later, Cliff seized the opportunity to meet his next-door neighbor, Gobias Koffi. Gobias was taking a morning swim at the time. He seemed a little too interested in Cliff, so Cliff had to clarify that he was straight.

Meanwhile, Linus' day wasn't going so well. The prom was coming up, and he didn't know many people yet. He got an opportunity to research the science facility, and since he hopes to go into science after he graduates, he seized the opportunity to boost his grades. After leaving the building, he noticed Lisa Bunch doing her homework while her father and brother fished. He talked to her and flirted a little. She seemed into him, so he gave her a heat of the moment kiss. She rejected him! Poor guy! He was getting very tired, so apologized for reading the signals wrong and went home.
That night the family dog, Lily Gaines, came into the room to sleep in his bed with him. This was unusual, as she usually chose to sleep in Cliff's room.
That night Grim came to collect her.
What a horrible end to a horrible day! Despite the fact that Linus would get a grade boost when going to school, he was in no condition to go. His homework wasn't even done. Instead, of school, he chose to go to the library and get his homework done.
And then go fishing. Cliff also wasn't feeling like working, and was wanting to increase his inventing skill, so I sent him to the business tower as he had sold Mandy's workbench when they moved. He invented some kind of doohickey, then worked on his designing.
He wasn't the only one in the building. In fact, it was very popular, (which helps explain why it was starting to lag a bit.)
Some looked like they were doing legitimate work . . .
While others, (yes, you, Madison Watson) were playing video games on the boss's time.
When Cliff got a little hungry, he went up to the café for a bite. He spotted Susan Wainwright and found her attractive, but she was dining with Nick Alto, so he left her alone.
The next day, Cliff decided he needed to get back to work. Jamie Jolie said she needed some new outfits for parties and asked for Cliff's help. He gave a charming introduction, complemented her fashion sense, discussed fashion with her, (meanwhile, I Nraas'd her and found out her favorite color was hot pink), and gave her a makeover. She didn't like it. Cliff felt insulted, especially when she just ignored him and went to bed. (Sleep in the daytime, party at night, I guess.)
Feeling down, Cliff realized he had an award for his services awaiting him at the courthouse. Needing a boost to his self esteem, he decided this was a great time to collect it. He was still feeling surly about Jamie's rejection of his hard work and felt the desire to insult her, insult her house, and imply her mother was a llama. Still stewing over this, he was approached by a stranger whom he later discovered was Beau Andrews. In no mood to be social, Cliff called his mother a llama.
Then Cliff slapped him and beat him up!
Cliff noticed the woman he found attractive the previous night, Susan Wainwright, was also at the courthouse, and took the opportunity to introduce himself and chat her up. Meanwhile, Beau went and tattled on him to Buster Clavell.
At this point, I became distracted from Cliff and Susan because Buster's wife came up to Beau and offered him flowers, which he graciously accepted. Needless to say, Buster was not happy.
I don't know if they were friends before, but Buster and Beau are definitely not friends now.
About the time this bit of drama was breaking up, Vita Alto starts sneaking up the steps . . .
and scares Bessie!
It turns out the party was a bust. Either no one showed up, or they all went home early. However Cliff noticed that despite her complaining, Jamie chose to wear the outfit he provided for her makeover.
Cliff and Susan were invited inside. Where Cliff set to insulting Jamie's house and insulting Jamie's family, implying that her mother was a llama.
Oddly enough, this tirade didn't do too much damage to their relationship. They weren't friends, but they were far from being enemies. (The relationship was still well into the green.) Mostly, Jamie was just hungry.
While Jamie set to making Autumn Salad, Cliff and Susan cuddled on the couch in front of the TV.
One thing let to another . . .
Jamie was so aghast to see them smooching and groping on her couch that she nearly dropped her Autumn Salad on the floor!
