LEPacy Challenge - Honeymoon in France, the party gone wrong, and the arrival of Gen 7

 Mr. and Mrs. Gains stayed in France for a few days. While they did explore the basement of the museum, and Mandy explored the ancient ruins, they mostly just had fun doing tourist things:

visiting the nectary, harvesting some grapes to take home and plant, buying a nectar press. . .

wandering nearly naked through the public areas after having woohoo upstairs. . .

" Get a room!" they said, so Cliff and Mandy did.

As mentioned, they did do a little bit of exploration, which enabled Mandy to try the Axe of Pangu for the first time.

Mandy also enjoyed sightseeing on the Vespa . . .

while Cliff made fun of the café clerk.

They had a couple dinner dates, but insisted on sitting at different tables. (Next time I'm in France, I'm going to redecorate this café - the ambiance is terrible!)

Mandy brought up the idea of having a family. "We don't have children yet.  How many do you want?"

They also spend some time at Little Roses Restaurant and Entertainment.

Cliff kept kicking the gumball machine.  I was wondering if there would be another death on a honeymoon like what happened to the poor Crumplebottom chick. Cliff survived, though he was clearly obsessed with the gumball machine.  I saw him take about 5 or 6 gumballs in a row.  Even after they adjourned to the dance floor . . .

Cliff still had gumballs on his mind. There isn't a gumball machine in Monte Vista - and now I'm torn as to whether to add one or not.

After a few days of frolicking, they returned home and began trying for a baby.

I thought they'd go upstairs to the bed or at least the shower, but I had forgotten about the time machine.  That's what they autonomously chose. 

The time machine has its advantages and disadvantages: the advantage is I don't have to deal with those annoying babies because any child coming out of the time machine is a child or older.  However, by older, it means there's a chance that who comes out is older than the parents (an elder).  Well, the next time they tried for a baby, I had them use the shower. It was successful! Mandy became pregnant.  Early Sunday morning, she broke the good news to Cliff.

Cliff was thrilled.  "Let's have a party!" he said. "We'll invite some friends over and have a barbeque this afternoon and give them the good news." So he invited the guests, bought a knubb game for outdoor entertainment, and planned on cooking up some hot dogs. As all the guests were arriving, and Cliff and Mandy were busy greeting and chatting them up, a surprise guest arrived.

"Mom, Dad, I'm home! It looks awfully primitive here, but I guess it's home now." Her name is Adria, and she is family oriented, a daredevil, a party animal, hydrophobic, and lucky.  Unfortunately, she is also an elder - too old to produce the next generation, and I don't want to cheat to reverse her age. I don't have the Supernatural EP yet, so the age reverse potion isn't available.  All I can think of is the fountain of youth which is a store item that I own.  My past experience with it is that it only reduces age by a day, but I think I read on one of the forums, that occasionally it will reverse aging to the previous life stage. Maybe if Adria drank from it every day . . . But I think I will just have the baby be the heir.

The party wasn't over.  As Mandy was trying to get to know her new-found daughter, Cliff set the grill on fire.

Here's a close-up of Adria.  I gave her a makeover shortly after this party.  I'm not sure what to do with her, but I thought maybe she can find herself an old man, fall in love, get married, and move out. There is no shortage of old men in this town:

She met widower Patrizo Monty at the gym. . . 

They played a few games of chess while Adria told Patrizo about the barbeque fire.  Then they grouped up to go to the library, but one of them was boring the other one (I wasn't watching at the time) I thought he was bored with her, but she got the bored small-talk icon, so maybe she was bored with him.

Aria also met Luigi Ricardo.

and a few other old-timers.  She also joined the military career because she wants to be an astronaut. Good luck, old woman.

Meanwhile, Mandy learned that there was a baby boom occurring in town. She learned that her wacky best friend Vanna Seng, had a daughter who was also pregnant. And according to the newspaper, on the day Mandy's baby was born, about 5 other babies were also born! They need to start a "mommy and me" club.

In a matter of days, baby Linus was born.  He is brave and disciplined. Welcome to the world, Gen 7 heir.

As for upgrading the town, I added several Mediterranean style homes from my bin, upgraded the kitchen at Mandy's house after she left something in the oven and started a fire, and gave the interior new wall coverings and floors. I really need to build a consignment store somewhere - maybe on one of the upper floors of the pizza place. I also added Garrett, Ming, Brant, Gunnar, Marla, and Malcolm to the town (they came through the time machine) to see if the family tree would expand.  It didn't right away, but I'll check next time I load the game. Nothing happened when I added the founder Lucy, but she might have been too far up the tree.
