As planned, Ming moved in with DeAndre and his cats; Bobo stayed at the old house, and Mandy moved into a new house. (This was "new construction" and based of the Ritz-Craft house of the month for March 2022. I had to make some adjustments as the lot Mandy bought was too narrow for the house to face the street.)
She also bought a new car - a Prius because it seemed ridiculous for her to take a cab to all her ghost hunting jobs.
Mandy is liking her job and doing quite well. I think she's had two or three promotions so far and earned two awards from the city. For some reason, she didn't get her ghost-hunting garb until she was promoted the first time.
She sold the first group of spirits she collected to the science facility, but being good, she felt bad about it afterwards. Since she has enough money with her regular fees, she decided to just take them to the graveyard and release them. They seem very grateful.
She is also pursuing other lucrative hobbies. She has written two books:
Bobo, My No-So-Imaginary Friend and
The Ghosts of Twinbrook. This means she has some royalties coming in. She is also improving her inventing skills and has gotten to the point that she can blow things up to collect scrap - it's much more efficient. We are still trying to build that time machine.
A few days after moving into her new house, Mandy threw a party and invited her mom, DeAndre, Bobo, and several people her age.
She served Autumn Salad as her mother is vegetarian, and apologized for her atrocious behavior on the day of Ming's wedding.
Ming accepted the apology, and they are on good terms again. Ming did ask her for money, however.
I'm surprised that sims aren't given the option to say yes or no and select an amount like they do when they donate to a cause at the mailbox. I don't think Mandy gave her any money. People must assume that ghost hunters make a lot of money, because the next day when Mandy was visiting Parker, Pansy came up to her and asked her for money too!
At any rate, the party was a success, everyone danced with everyone else and enjoyed the salad. Nobody died - which I suspected might happen as I got the "DeAndre isn't getting any younger" warning just before the party.
DeAndre apparently died shortly thereafter; Ming turned to a life of crime, and seems to be doing quite well. . .
She also got a new boyfriend - a young guy. I guess Mandy won't pursue that one. Bobo also found love with an old lady. I need to adjust the romance in Story Progression to prohibit spring/winter relationships as they happen way too often.
As for Mandy's love life, she's still trying to find the guy with one opposite trait. Parker Prudence is ambitious, rebellious, dramatic, lucky, and a loser (although I don't know how a person can be both lucky and a loser.) They are good friends and like hanging out together, but Parker has a girlfriend and lacks that opposite trait.
Tay Bayless has a girlfriend, Bunny Curious, but something seems to have happened with Bunny. Mandy has this "sorry about Bunny" interaction she can use with several of the townies, but I have no idea what happened. Did she die? I might have to go manage the dead and see if she's there.
Tay Bayless doesn't have any conflicting traits either - he loves the outdoors, is an angler, family oriented, handy, and inappropriate. He also may never forgive her for giving him a bad makeover at the salon.
Pull yourself together, man! You could have ended up with the stylist who was trying to talk an old guy into buying red pumps.
Shark Racket is a possible mate for Mandy, but he's a little old for her. I know he's evil, though, which is opposite her good trait. He was even flirting with her when she met him at the graveyard while releasing spirits.
Then there's Elton Turner, the former barista at the community center. He changed to being a tattoo artist. I don't know all his traits yet - he has a good sense of humor, is brave and charismatic. Mandy is thinking of asking him to be her roommate. She got a butterfly tattoo from him.
I guess she could also use the Sim Finder App and pick a male sim who is a heavy sleeper and see how that goes as she's a light sleeper. She should find someone who is artistic and would make a good architect. That's why I'm thinking Elton if he has a conflicting trait.
