LEPacy challenge: Childhood years and early teens

Kids grow up fast.

Mandy and Bobo remain good friends, and do a lot of things together.

They decided to go into the bake sale business together, and using the bake oven, spent the morning baking brownies and sugar cookies. They took these to the park across the street. . .

where they took turns manning the booth.

Business was good for awhile, but then Pansy Prudence came along and set up in the lemonade stand across from them.

She apparently had better people skills, and she also was a good listening ear, much like a bartender . . .

Mandy and Bobo stood helplessly by, watching Pansy work her magic while they shooed flies from their baked goods.  Eventually, they gave up and played instead. Bobo has always had a crush on Bunny Curious.  She's apparently a little older than him, as she's a teen in this picture, and Bobo won't age up for another couple days.

Mandy, meanwhile, mastered the block table, as did Bobo.

They threw a joint birthday party and invited all the kids they knew.

This is before I gave Mandy a new hairstyle and makeup. I apparently didn't take an after picture yet.

Bobo aged up without needing a makeover - just a new wardrobe. Once he was a teen, he began romantic interactions with Bunny.

They started dating, and staying out too late.  For some reason, Bobo escaped being hauled home in the cop car after taking Bunny to a late dinner at the restaurant.  He hopped into a cab instead.

Mandy wasn't so lucky.  It was after 6 am on a Saturday, and I sent her to the salon to get some new outfits, and I heard the cop car music. There was no cop car in sight, and she ran all through town and was a block from the house when she was picked up and taken home.  She go in trouble for it. I thought they could leave the lot after 6 a.m. It's all my fault!

Apparently Mandy is kind of sweet on Bobo - she wanted to kiss him, so I let her.  He responded positively.

They were playing Gnub when she made her move. I think Bobo is torn between Bunny and Mandy, but I'm trying to get Mandy to get to know other boys better. She is supposed to find a mate who has one trait that is opposite from one of hers. She's good, a light sleeper, never nude, and grumpy. Bobo can't stand art, is a virtuoso, perceptive, and disciplined.

Bobo asked Bunny out again, and learned that she had taken up with Tay Bayless.  He got mad and snubbed her.  He then decided to take his frustration out on Tay Bayless for "stealing his girl."

Ming got wind of his fight with Tay and punished Bobo by making him stand in the corner. (Nobody else seems to care about their beef with each other.) Bobo has a wish to egg the Bayless' house, but so far no one has been home when he went there, and pranking people's houses can't be done unless they are home. He got a part time job at the grocery store, so maybe that will help keep him out of trouble.

Mandy is making progress on being the perfect child. She joined Newspaper Club at school, and learned to drive.

She's not the perfect angel, however.  She got caught trying to toilet paper the principal's office and had to serve detention. Ming was not happy about that.

Mandy is struggling to get to know the other boys in town. For some reason they are very slow to becoming friends.  Maybe a Charisma class is in order.

She's trying to get to know Tay Bayless and Parker Prudence, but neither seem to be taking.  I might have to cheat to see what their traits are to see if one fits the bill for a boyfriend.  I guess there's always University if she can't find anyone in town.  Also, Ming is wanting to go back to China, and I suspect she will take the kids with her.  Maybe Mandy can meet someone there.

Ming aged up to elder, while on a date with DeAndre Wolf.  They went to the beach, then to the salon so she could get a different hairdo, then out to a romantic dinner.

She had baked angel food cake, and he had stir fry. They also woohoo'd in the photo booth and played a game of juice pong at the community center . . .

and I left them playing pool at the Red Rendezvous. Mandy is having another slumber party at the house - this time a boy/girl party.  Both Tay and Bunny were invited, as well as Parker Prudence. However, Bunny and Parker went home - I think because there wasn't enough room for everyone to sleep in sleeping bags on the floor. I really wanted Bunny to stay so Bobo could try to patch things up with her and maybe get her to dump Tay, and then Mandy could console Tay . . . but I guess it won't be happening - no teen drama tonight.
