LEPacy Challenge: Fixing Gunnar's house, Ming striking out on her own:going baby-daddy shopping and adventuring in Egypt.

So, as promised last post, I went to Gunnar's house and cleaned up the mess. I had him fix the plumbing, mop the floors, etc.  He was also complaining of a bad night's sleep, so I got him a better bed. I think this improved the relationship between him and Marla - at least for awhile.

Gunnar and Marla immediately woohoo'd in the new bed, and although I didn't hear lullaby music, it wasn't long before I started getting notices that they had another little blessing on the way.  It was a baby girl, and they named her Ruby.

While I was there, I made sure the dog (I thought it was a cat the last time I visited) and the kids had plenty of toys.  This made them very happy.

The kids even have a treehouse to play in.

Gunnar and Marla really need to do something about the keg in their side yard - it's an attractive nuisance.  Who wants a tipsy mailman?

Anyway, the day Garrett came home and announced he was promoted to astronaut was the day that Ming told him it was time for her to spread her wings.

Taking her bird, the legacy photos of the family, Grandpa Cordell's heirloom painting, and Garrett's favorite China find (a jade tiger), Ming set out and bought her own house.

She didn't move far. In fact, she bought a pink Sears and Roebuck house, and she's neighbors with Uncle Gunnar. They can spar with each other any time they like.

Ming isn't much for decorating except for the things she brings back from her travels.  Her lifetime wish is to have 20,000 simoleons worth of relics displayed in her house. One more trip to Egypt should take care of it. Most of Ming's other furniture came from the dumpster.

Ming is starting to look at her options for a baby-daddy for her child. I think all her prospects are married, but she's not looking for a husband - just a sperm donor.

Prospect #1: Scott Chesterfield - He's her high school sweetheart, but he also went and married an old lady. They have some fantastic dates and enjoy risky woohoo in the movie theater, but so far, no baby has come of it.

Prospect #2: Blaze Charleston - the married politician whom she met and danced with in China.  They became friends there.

However, she invited him to visit and a) he was and old man . . .

and b) it seems the romantic interactions won't show up unless the sim asks them to be their roommate, which would have been out of the question for a married politician! Instead, she showed him around town and he went home.

Prospect #3: Stan Dingstill, who is single, handsome, and a party dancer! Perfect, right?  Ming did not find him the least bit attractive.  Maybe she needs to throw a kegger and have juiced woohoo with him . . .

Prospect #4: Andrew Song.  This nerdy-looking guy is someone Ming does find attractive.  He's married, of course . . .

Prospect #5: Jake Preston aka caterpillar brows. He has a girlfriend and is so boring that Ming passed out twice while trying to have a conversation with him.  He also has some annoying habits - like leaving the toilet seat up and constantly brushing his teeth. (Not that I'm against good oral hygiene, but he had a sleepover with her, and brushed his teeth five or six times, going from sink to sink until she finally told him to go home.)

Prospect #6: Samir Amin - a married Egyptian, but Ming and he were nearly immediate friends.  She met him on her recent trip to Egypt, and when she got back invited him to visit AND asked him to be her roommate - at least temporarily. He agreed, so maybe his marriage was on the rocks anyway . . .

While in Egypt, Ming had many adventures and supposedly explored the entire, Pyramid of Burning Sands, but I'm skeptical. I saw one stairway that I think she never took . . . Here are some of my favorite pictures from that trip.

But back to the baby-daddy problem.  Ming decided (with my help) to go on a risky woohoo rampage.  Within the course of about 24 sim hours, she risky woohoo'd with Jake Preston (during their sleepover)

Then Sebastian Vanderburg (now married in the game) in the photo booth

Then Scott Chesterfield in the movie theater (who had caught wind of her shenanigans and was very angry with her, but they kissed and made up).

Then she tried to woohoo with Andrew Song, but he was not nearly as understanding as Scott, so it was a no-go.

These guys and their double-standard!  They all have wives at home, so who are they to judge her!

Finally, her special friend from Egypt, Samir Amin, showed up for a visit.  It took a little convincing, but they woohoo'd.

I didn't stick around to listen for lullaby music, and I'm not going to use Master Controller to peek. I'm going to wait and see if she's pregnant and after she has the baby I'm going to try to figure out who the father is as the child ages up. Then I'll verify.

If she isn't pregnant, I think I'll keep ol' Samir around.  They have a lot of chemistry, and I think he'd be a good father.  I might even break the rules and let him stay on after the baby is born.
