LEPacy challenge - Gen 4's trip to France

LEPacy challenge - Gen 4's trip to France  As mentioned in the previous installment, the Sw0rd family took a trip to France: Garrett to collect some wine to take back to China, Ming to start her relic collection, and Gunnar and Marla to enjoy their honeymoon and take nectar-making lessons. Actually, Marla had far more fun drinking the nectar than making it. Gunnar, on the other hand, diligently applied himself and became a darn good nectar maker. He made some swell upgrades to this nectar maker, and he bought one to take home with him. The musicians of the group took some time to improve their guitar skills as well. While they were in France, a new restaurant called Little Roses opened up. (It was originally a townhouse, but I converted it.) The first floor features a coffee bar, kitchen with pizza oven, and this formal dining room.  Upstairs features a poker table, foosball game, and a couple chess tables. The gang had many adventures, Garrett being the most adventurous, and arme

LEPacy Challenge: Gunnar's wedding, birth of Malcolm, trip to France, and other events.

LEPacy Challenge: Gunnar's wedding, birth of Malcolm, trip to France, and other events. My original plan was for Gunnar and Marla to get married in France, but Marla got pregnant and couldn't travel until the baby was born. So she donned her maternity wedding dress, and Gunnar arranged an afternoon wedding at the resort up the hill in Hidden Springs. About an hour before the wedding, Gunnar was hanging off the edge of the balcony contemplating his life choices.  Did he really want to commit his life to a mean-spirited woman? Was he really ready to be a father and "adult"? Would he need to give up busking and gardening and take a steady job where he's trapped indoors all the time? Marla told him to stop being such a baby and come down - at which point he slipped.  Luckily, he was only on the second floor, and thanks to his strong athletic skills and martial arts training, he was able to glide down and land on his feet unscathed.  He promptly apologized to Marla fo

LEPacy challenge: Acquisition of the "spare" and wedding plans

LEPacy challenge: Acquisition of the "spare" and wedding plans Garrett, being the LEPacy heir, has certain goals and situations he must fulfill, but sometimes the story goes a little off the tracks, and this time I just had to follow.  For instance, Garrett is to be a single parent of two children and raise them from babies with no live-in help. As shown in previous posts, Garrett had a relationship with a fickle Chinese national, Biyu, and they produced Ming.  Garrett was unable to take custody of Ming until she was a teenager, due in part to her being in another country, and in part because I was struggling with getting her into my household. (I have since learned the shift-click, add to household move using testingCheatsenabled.)  Since then, Garrett has had a one-night stand with a flirty married woman, and she became pregnant with his baby. Her name is Maya Abbott, and she gave birth to baby Brant. Story Progression informed me that Maya and her husband had a big fight

LEPacy challenge: The move, Ming Hong, and the axe

LEPacy challenge: The move, Ming Hong, and the axe The poll that I posted on Facebook asking where to move the household indicated Hidden Springs, so that's where the brothers went.  They found the ideal housing arrangement: two cabins on the same lot, one with two bedrooms, and the other with one. There is also a place to fish out behind the lot.  The inside will never grace the pages of HGTV  as it consists of cheap beds, dumpster finds, and artifacts found and items purchased in China. The boys want to keep putting their money toward traveling.  Gunnar quit his job in the political field and is back to being a busker as he loves the outdoors and the freedom to do what he wants in the way of earning money: playing for tips, fishing, and dumpster diving.   Garrett, on the other hand, is working diligently toward becoming an astronaut as required for this generation's heir's career goal.  They accomplished a lot on their most recent trip to China.  Ming Hong, now a teenage
