LEPacy Challenge: The Second Generation Rises Up.

Meet Shauna Donner-Sekemoto, daughter of Leighton Sekemoto and Tamara Donner of Sunset Valley, and the mate of my second generation LEPacy heir. While I was fixing up the home of my heir's newly married sister, Story Progression moved her into my LEPacy household as a teenager and best friend of the heir. Her traits include no sense of humor, clumsy, mean-spirited, and absent-minded, so I'm sure Cordell will find out she's a real treat to live with 😆 but she does have one redeeming quality: she's brave. In fact she beat up a burglar when she was a teen.

I'm pretty sure she's randomly generated, but she's so pretty, she looks good in just about every hairstyle. As a teen, she worked in the cemetery. Her aspirations are to be a super-spy, but that doesn't fit with the goals of this generation. She is to be an "animal wrangler" making money off catching and selling small animals. So far she's been bitten twice - once by a shrew and once by a goldfinch, so I guess her job will come with some hazards. I'm thinking, when this generation gets enough money, they will buy the pet store, and she can run that, stocking the cages and selling the old animals as she catches new ones.

This is Cordell as a teen. He was born with the athletic trait, and the randomizer roll for him indicated the heir of this generation would be in the athletic career - which is why I chose him instead of his older sister St0rmy to be the heir (her spin was less compatible and would have required the next pack to be Showtime, while Cordell's roll required the next pack to be pets.) In addition to the athletic trait, Cordell has the virtuoso trait and is becoming alarmingly good at the guitar. He is also neat, flirty, and like Shauna, he has no sense of humor.

Once both teens reached the young adult stage (Shauna is a few days older than Cordell), they decided to move out of Cordell's parents' house and get one of their own. Shauna had been regularly harvesting the money tree in the garden and keeping the bags of money until they moved. This allowed them to build on a bathroom. (This house was originally my 10x10 bed and breakfast and many items were missing - including the two all-in-one bathrooms - because I'm limiting packs for this challenge.) They also re-decorated the rooms to reflect their own tastes (Cordell's favorite color is green and Shauna likes brown.) Shauna had a wish to get a horse, and there's a training field just down the road, so they built a little shelter with a horse stall.

Shauna adopted this little colt and named her Hobby. They bonded to the point that Hobby no longer misses her mother.

There was a notice that Cordell's father, Cycl0n3, was getting pretty old and they should visit, so they threw a housewarming party with just the family. There was one party crasher - Shauna's step-mother. Here are some of the last pictures of the whole family together. Sure enough, Grim came-a- knocking while the party was underway.

The party was a major flop. Then shortly thereafter, the game crashed, and I had forgotten to save! 😖 I will have go back and rebuild the addition, replant the garden, and re-adopt the horse (hopefully the same one). I won't bother with the party again, but in a few sim-days. Cordell and Shauna can go retrieve Cycl0n3's stone after he dies and place it in the cemetery, and we'll just assume the party happened.

The first generation's "just for fun" goal was to throw a party at least once a week, and they did a pretty good job of it (I think I forgot once, right after St0rmy's wedding party.) Cordell's and Shauna's "just for fun" goal is called "My Precious" and requires the purchase of a decorative item at least once a week, to be displayed as a collection and none of the items can be sold during Cordell's lifetime. This little house has a basement set up for that purpose. Also, Cordell is to produce three children, so at some point they will have to move to a bigger house - probably in Appaloosa Plains. For now, they are staying in Sunset Valley because I haven't played it in awhile, and want to hang out a little longer.
