Reclaiming Roseward #3 - Lenny's new girl and his arrest
As stated in an earlier post, Lenny Shutter accused his wife of cheating and moved out. He ended up in an apartment complex that is full of quirky neighbors.
He has since divorced his wife, who seemed pretty happy about being free of him, and he has met someone new.
Her name is Vanessa Batt, and she lives in the same apartment complex. She is a vehicle enthusiast, excitable, friendly, has a photographer's eye, and works as an "eager artist." She is the only resident that Lenny has granted access to his private lair.
Note: I only have control of Lenny - the others are townies, including Vanessa.
Lenny and Vanessa seem perfect for each other; however, I have frequently witnessed Vanessa flirting and sleeping with (only sleeping) another resident by the name of Denver Bliss. I don't know much about the other neighbors yet - that's one of Lenny's next goals. I do know that Denver is climbing the celebrity ladder, and another resident doesn't like to wear clothes very often - in fact when I saw him in clothes, I thought he was someone else!
But back to Lenny and Vanessa: They are in the romantic interest state, are co-habitating for the most part (Vanessa usually sleeps in Lenny's bed with him and hangs out at his apartment. The one time I saw her sleeping with Denver Bliss, Lenny - who is hot headed - had yelled at her about something, so I guess she didn't want to stay with him that night.) They have gone out for pizza and games together . . .
and have even woohoo'd in the elevator,
which was a weird choice on their part. I prompted the woohoo while they were in Lenny's apartment where there was both a bed and a shower available, but no, they chose to leave the apartment, go across the parking lot to the common area, and use the elevator.
While getting to know the other residents is one of Lenny's goals, the other is to create something akin to Freak Alley in Boise, Idaho.
An art gallery has been established, as mentioned in the previous post, and the back of it has been severely damaged and is full of junk and collapsed floors. It has been creating a routing issue with the sims that seem to want to use the sidewalk behind the art gallery and stand there stomping and waving their arms until Overwatch takes them home. I decided to clear the rubble, shore up the partial floors and put ladders and railing along them. Hopefully it will be filled with street art over time.
Since Lenny aged up to adult and went through his "middle-age-crazy" phase, he has been dumpster diving for furnishings for the rest of the residents' apartments. He gained access to the rebel group and got a street art kit, so he has been practicing. He is able to tag and create small murals, but the murals are always the same: this star, only a little fancier.
This town doesn't even have a police force! Who is this guy?!?
Even he seems to realize this property can't be further damaged, but only beautified! I don't know if Lenny would have "ended up in the slammer" if we had a police station, but this guy just took him home and fined him 1,000 simoleons.
Lenny will need to be more careful in the future.
