4 Seasons Challenge #3 - Autumn adventures
Vinny and Aspen are a few days away from Winter now. Their autumn season has been VERY RAINY. Here in Idaho it does not rain like this in the fall. They got one or maybe two days in a week without rain.
They don't seem to mind it though. In fact they seem to like to have an excuses to splash in the puddles and woohoo in the tent.
It hasn't been all woohoo, however. The couple has been diligently fishing, collecting, and gardening. They are beginning to think about what to do after Walden, and have a little under 4000 simoleons in the bank at the moment. They plan to spend the following summer in a high rise apartment (That desire pops up from time to time) then rent a house together while attending college. They are working on their skills so they can get some scholarships.
I'm thinking once they get to college, I'll jump around and get more familiar with the townies at University, and see what story progression does with these two. Will they stay together or break up? Will they get pregnant, married? I'll switch back to them now and then and see how they are doing. Then pick up the story of what next at the end of their college adventure.
In the meantime, they are spending quite a bit of time at the school and improving their skills. Both are becoming a little nerdy. Nerd doesn't look good on Vinny, however. He tends to insult other people's intelligence (autonomously).
I had to be his good angel, and when he planned to insult Aspen, I reminded him that his wish was to kiss the girl, not insult her. I think she became nerd by association with him, and I don't think he'll try it again, but we'll see.
Aspen has also shown some artistic aptitude as can be seen here. She autonomously decided to design, and this is the result of her first attempt. Not bad!
Even though Aspen is officially a nerd, video games (in practice) don't seem to be her thing. She would rather read about them than play them - unless it's online chess, as her lifetime wish is to have perfect body (10 athletic level) and perfect mind (10 logic level).
Here is Vinny playing his video game, while Aspen reads. She autonomously chose "How to Win at Video Games Without Trying," which I thought was pretty funny.
She asked Vinny out on a date to the new comic book store one very rainy day, and they read some comic books and played some games.
Vinny was clearly more into it than Aspen was. Maybe the fact that it costs money bothered her as she's frugal. Anyway, she went to play online chess for free and encouraged Vinny-the-couch-potato to take advantage of the free television.
When evening came, they went across the street to the karaoke bar and woohooed in the photobooth. Vinny thought it better to destroy the evidence. 😂😁😁
The stormy weather hasn't been all fun, despite the couple's enjoyment of splashing in puddles. One morning, Aspen left the tent only to be immediately struck by lightning. Shake it off, girl, you're okay this time. You've got a death flower maturing. You just might need it.
As for social ties, Vinny has started a "bromance" with the local newspaper man. (His name escapes me at the moment.) He is being interviewed about his Walden experience for the paper, but this guy keeps blowing up Vinny's phone. They are at the "good friend" stage.
Okay, now you guys are just being silly. Time to go. Winter is coming.
