4 Seasons - Aspen and Vinny - End of challenge, bachelorette party, wedding, and new home.

 The 4 Seasons challenge is over! Aspen and Vinny are moving on with their lives.  Here are the highlights:

Last days of the challenge:

Aspen bought a bee box, but had a traumatic experience, so Vinny took over the honey collection from then on.

It was very rainy most days, but the couple didn't let that get in the way of having fun.

Date night.  Something about watching Sims dance just lifts my spirits.

The bachelorette party started off rainy, but cleared up. Most people changed from their "dress to impress" clothes to swimwear fairly quickly. This outfit is not the least bit flattering for poor Aspen.

Here, she's making a friend of Ada, who seems to think her outfit qualifies as formal wear - she wore this to the wedding too.

I thought Aspen was going to ruin her dress when she quickly changed into it and ran to the water, but she switched back to her swimsuit in the nick of time!

I went with the consensus on the location and dress. The Sanitorium Gardens and the lacy dress won out.  I took the suggestions to make the dress all white and went with the double-bun with flowers hairstyle. 

The wedding day started off with pouring rain, but cleared up about 2 hours from the official start time.

Only one person actually sat down, but all at least seemed interested in the ceremony. 

This is that Hayley Tribordeaux who was trying to steal Vinny away from Aspen, then showed up as an elder asking Vinny for money.  Eat your heart out, granny!

This guy is Dusty Miller, and he cried all through the ceremony.  I don't think either of my Sims knew him except maybe in passing.  Maybe he always cries at weddings (hopeless romantic, perhaps?) The only thing I directed the Sims to do or not do were:

• Stopping Aspen from dumpster diving right before the ceremony - twice!
• Having the ceremony
• Cutting the cake
• Vinny using charming introductions to make friends (One of his wishes was to have 18, and since he barely knew several of these people, he acquired a few more friends.)
• Vinny complementing Bradford's music as he brought his guitar and played after the wedding.

Otherwise, I just let them do what they do and took pictures. 

Aspen seemed a little glum after the ceremony, I think all the people and being the center of attention was getting to her as she's a loner.

I have no idea why she was making this face.

Bradford Meyer providing music for the event.  It's the least he could do after constantly asking he best friend's girl out on a date, and his wife being Aspen's best friend - awkward! Maybe he's into wife-swapping or something. 

I think this guy was hoping for chocolate cake or something. Ada, on the other hand, ate one slice and went back for more.

Shortly after the cake, Aspen made a break for it.  She was headed for home, but since the couple spent the morning breaking camp, I directed her to the Happy Slots Casino, where they planned to spend the wedding night in a real bed.

Vinny seems to be looking for her.  I don't think she told him what she was doing. He even checked out by the dumpster.

Pompadour hairdos seem to be all the rage among the elder gentlemen.

 This smelly dude with the ripped jeans is one of Vinny's newest friends.

After a nice spaghetti dinner (Vinny's favorite) and the customary wine and woohoo, the couple looked forward to a nice long sleep in an actual bed.  It wasn't to last long, however - they were kicked out at 3 am as management said they were closing. (I didn't make this a resort as I wanted everyone to have access to it.) With nowhere to go, Vinny bought a high-rise penthouse a few blocks away. Much better digs than the tents and igloos they had been living in for a year.

Total funds at the end: 73,340 simoleons 

Aspen had enough happiness points to buy a Business degree, but she will go to college and study Science and Medicine as well. She got a new trait: disciplined. 

Vinny used his happiness points to buy a Simbot named Gary.  Gary will watch over the penthouse while Aspen and Vinny are away at the university.  Vinny will work toward a Tech degree. He also got a new trait for topping out on the Nerd social group: handy.

They rented the smallest, cheapest house they could find, but replaced some of the furniture, including the bed to something comfortable, and they bought a TV as Vinny is a couch potato. They will be away for two terms. Both had scholarships.
