The Witchy Life of Venus Rucker #5 - Everybody moved!

The Witchy Life of Venus Rucker #5 - Everybody moved!

I used Moonlight Falls for my most recent 10x10 challenge - Modern house because there seems to be a lot of room to build here. I moved the Striker's from Bridgeport in to try out the house and played them for a Sim day or two before going back to Venus' family.

When I got back to the Rucker-Watts household, I learned that the oldest of the quads, William, despite being a teen, had moved out to a secluded cabin on the lake. He took the bird with him but otherwise was living alone.  I fixed up William's old room into a nursery for Venus' new baby, and went to check on William. He has the Loner trait, so it makes sense that he would prefer his solitude, but he's still underage, which created a very interesting problem.

I was doing a little redecorating on the two bedroom house as William would not want a roommate and had a little over 20,000 simoleons, so didn't really need one. I decorated the bedrooms in William's favorite color (green) and converted one bedroom into his elixir room, buying him the elixir station.

The next thing I know, a burglar shows up and steals his elixir station! He immediately calls the cops, but she gets away.

The police so show up, and William goes to talk with Donella Cuffs about the robbery, giving a description of the burglar as best he can (female, wearing a mask). He learns that Donella is friendly, and they start talking about a good cop movie now in the theaters.

However, it soon becomes painfully evident that another cop, Warren Chong, is not as friendly as Officer Cuffs, but instead is a very hard-lined, by-the-book cop that doesn't listen to excuses! He charged up, sirens blaring, and made underage William get in his car and took him home because he was out after curfew.  William protested that he was an emancipated minor, owned his own home, and only had a toe outside his property's borders, but Office Chong would not listen.

I put the grid on in this picture, so you can see just how far out of bounds poor William was when Officer Chong "picked him up."

The next day, William's sister Wendy called him, and he told her the whole story. She had news too! She had a boyfriend and the whole family had moved to a bigger modern house with a pool! They only took what they had in their inventories, so the Genie Lamp was left on the fireplace mantle, and Nathan's workshop and Venus' elixir station were also left behind, as was the newly furnished baby's room.

On the upside, Nathan chose well. This house is designed with just enough bedrooms with their own adjoining bathrooms to accommodate these nearly young adults and a smaller room just outside the parents' suite to serve as a nursery. This abode had a large exercise room that was quickly converted into Venus' and Nathan's workroom.

Just a few more days until the quads age up.  Venus had a baby boy named Tracy while I was with William. Now that William moved out, I'm not sure how I'm going to handle sending them all to college. I think I'll send William first, and separately, then send the others. Mallory, the squib (non magical one) wants to be a singer, so that will be her focus at college. I'm not sure about the others. Some of them had lifetime goals as well, but I'll have to check what they were.
