4 Seasons Challenge #2 - End of Summer: the first season First a brief bio on the characters: Meet Vinny Winnibego: brave, charismatic, lucky, light sleeper, and couch potato. He aspires to be a fireman. He joined Aspen on her Walden adventure on a lark, and claimed he was doing it to make sure she doesn't cheat, but it turns out he must have had a crush on her. You can see by her traits that she might have been difficult to get to know in a traditional setting. He is blogging about his experience. (Both were dealing with sunburn when these first pictures were taken.) Aspen Colorado: loner, loves the outdoors, bookworm, frugal, and nurturing. Her lifetime wish is for a perfect body and perfect mind (maxing out athletic and logic skills). Disclaimer: I didn't select traits for these Sims or make them with this challenge in mind. I created them to test out one of my 10x10 challenge houses and just grabbed them for the challenge as I hadn't really played them.  I thought they

4 Seasons Challenge #1

A group of friends who recently graduated from high school decided to take a gap year before attending college. Aspen Colorado, a loner and bookworm by nature, was deeply influenced by the early American authors such as David Thoreau and Walt Whitman.  She loves the outdoors, so she decided to try to recreate her own Walden experience by spending all four seasons living simply, trying to raise here own food and live off the land. Many scoffed at her idea, but one guy, Vinny Winnebago, was intrigued. Being a naturally brave and lucky individual, but somewhat of a couch potato, he decided to go along for the experience - and to verify that Aspen didn't cheat then claim she succeeded. They rented a field near a pond known for it's good fishing, and vowed to do their best to live off the land. The land owner told them that they could build no permanent structures - a portable greenhouse was the most they could hope for.  But they had a good tent and two sleeping bags, and a set ou

The Witchy Life of Venus Rucker #6 - The Quads' Birthday; lifetime wishes.

The Witchy Life of Venus Rucker #6 - The Quads' Birthday. It was Saturday, and the day started out with Venus trying to put a party together for the quads. She invited teens and young adults, but couldn't get the party set up because it said some Sims would not be able to make it. I tried 1pm, 4 pm, 5pm, 6pm, 7pm - I tried reducing only to the brother William and the kids' boyfriends and girlfriends.  I decided to just call William and invite him over, but he said he didn't want to come over at the moment. I went to map view and noticed he was at home, so I packed up the whole family and one of the birthday cakes and went to his house. He let them in, but was very cold and hostile to them, especially his mother.  He claimed he didn't know her. (I think I need to find something in Story Progression settings relationships to adjust, because it's only been about 1 sim week or less).  Venus tried to be friendly with him, but about every other interaction turned out

The Witchy Life of Venus Rucker #5 - Everybody moved!

The Witchy Life of Venus Rucker #5 - Everybody moved! I used Moonlight Falls for my most recent 10x10 challenge - Modern house because there seems to be a lot of room to build here. I moved the Striker's from Bridgeport in to try out the house and played them for a Sim day or two before going back to Venus' family. When I got back to the Rucker-Watts household, I learned that the oldest of the quads, William, despite being a teen, had moved out to a secluded cabin on the lake. He took the bird with him but otherwise was living alone.  I fixed up William's old room into a nursery for Venus' new baby, and went to check on William. He has the Loner trait, so it makes sense that he would prefer his solitude, but he's still underage, which created a very interesting problem.  I was doing a little redecorating on the two bedroom house as William would not want a roommate and had a little over 20,000 simoleons, so didn't really need one. I decorated the bedrooms in Wi
