Setting up "I Love Old People" challenge
Setting up "I Love Old People" challenge
Here is the retirement home I built for the challenge. It will be uploaded to Exchange soon. It features one unfurnished apartment for the caretakers (big enough to expand when the kids come along), 5 furnished, bland-but-comfortable rooms for the clients, an activities/recreation room, dining room, chapel, fenced outdoor area, garage with van for outings, and a few other common areas for the Sims to congregate.
It turned out to be three floors high as I needed room for at least 5 rooms; plus this gives me an upstairs for the caretaker family to develop as their family grows and they develop hobbies or at home businesses.
Meet the residents:
Eric and Amelia Barney are the young adult caretakers. Eric's trait include slob, avant garde, excitable, never nude, and animal lover. His goal is to be "Street Credible." Amelia is insane, eccentric, has a good sense of humor and star quality, and is charismatic. Her goal is to be a "Blog Artist." Perhaps she will blog about life at Shady Acres Retirement Home.
Sorry, these pictures were taken in the evening. Left to right: Dara Wahl is adventurous, absent-minded, flirty, friendly, and a party animal. Her lifetime goal is to be a "heartbreaker." Amir Wilburn is a couch potato and computer whiz. He is also a genius and is neat, possessing a photographer's eye. He wants to be a "chess legend." Heather Meeks is dramatic, hot-headed, lucky, and is both a hopeless romantic and schmoozer. She wants to be a "celebrity psychic."
Darron Clement (left) is unstable, hydrophobic, good, never nude, and a party animal. Like Amir, he also wants to be a "chess legend" so we may get some friendly or not-so-friendly competition going. Shawn Overton (right) is one to look out for. He's a neurotic, grumpy, mean-spirited diva who is also a kleptomaniac and has the "possession is nine tenths of the law" lifetime goal. Things got off to a fun start and the dynamics are coming to light already. Stay tuned.
