 Reclaiming Roseward

I recently downloaded this post-apocalyptic world called Roseward (created by nigalkins) and have been wanting to explore it, but got caught up in the "I Love Old People" challenge. I've been trying to think up a way to work this into one of my other stories to avoid creating another one as I'm not sure if my computer has the capacity to keep adding new games.  Here's what I came up with. 

Roseward was a site of a mysterious virus outbreak back in the 60's. No one was sure what the cause was, but it was deadly and spreading like wildfire through the town. In desperation, the government walled off the town allowing no one in or out, and with a carefully acquired sample began working on a cure. Due to budget constraints and bureaucratic red tape, it took 60 years to come up with a vaccine that the medical profession felt confident would prevent people from contracting the disease. After the walls went up, the inhabitants went crazy, rioted, cut the power and communications with the outside world, so no one knows what if anything has been going on there or if there are any survivors. However, it has been pronounced "safe" to inhabit and special incentives are in place for those who move there and try to revitalize Roseward. 

In my Bridgeport story, Amber (a former architectural designer) has married and moved to a family home along with her teen or young adult Roman.  I think she's pregnant or had another baby - it's been awhile, so I forget. Amber's imaginary friend Puzzle stayed behind in their original apartment and wants to continue working on being a celebrity. (She works in the film industry.) Amber's husband Lenny Shutter is a photographer (former paparazzi).  A major film producer has hired Lenny and Amber to go to Roseward and 1) prepare a place to house the film crew, and 2) scout out the place and take some photos of potential sites to film the new zombie apocalypse movie the producer wants to film. (This will be a "vacation.")

Once this is done, the film crew and actors can move there for awhile and make their movie and establish another film lot. (My Bridgeport game is showing signs of corruption, so it's probably time to say goodbye to it. I can move Puzzle over to Roseward since I saved her in my bin.  I can also move Amber and family over, then add a few other characters for the film crew and "leading man.")  

So let's see how this works out.
