I Love Old People challenge Part #4 - Darron's personality shift, romances formed, Dara's hot tub, and the outing to the community center.

Eric, the caretaker dude, is turning out to be quite the activist.  He announced a protest at City Hall and went to rile up the crowd.  It appears they were protesting FOR radiation (no "no" symbol over the radiation symbol)? At any rate, who happened to show up but my married and pregnant sim-self who I placed in the tiny 10x10 beach challenge house.  I needed to sort her life out a little, so took about 24 sim hours setting her up in an acceptable living situation.

After I sorted her out, I went back to the retirement home, and what did I see, but Amir and Dara k-i-s-s-i-n-g! (as Darron looked on.) Their status changed to boyfriend and girlfriend. (By the way, Darron now has the Kleptomaniac and Lucky traits.)

They weren't the only ones getting together.  Heather and Shawn had become romantic interests.

I think Shawn suggested they run away together to a tropical island.

While all this is sweet, some seem more committed than others.  Shawn and Dara on more than one occasion were caught flirting with each other - and Darron sees all!

Also, I think Dara is not only trying to steal Heather's boyfriend, but Heather's sweater as well! I'm sure Heather was wearing this red kitty sweater when she arrived to the retirement home that first day.  It's okay, I guess - she apparently has another one.

The poor woman doesn't know Shawn's been flirting with Dara too!

Shawn and Heather did woohoo, but I had to step in.  I waited for them to get to the "extremely irresistible" stage on their own, then Shawn started thinking about pancakes and was going to play video games.

Since Tiberium was found in the dumpster, the Barney's thought they could afford to get the residents some of the things they had been asking for. Heather wanted a planter, Amir wanted a shuffleboard table and telescope, and Dara wanted a hot tub.  Dara seems to spend every free minute she has in the hot tub, sometimes clothed, sometimes not, sometimes with Amir, sometimes alone.  The others still seem to favor the rocking chairs.

The whole group went to the community center on an outing.  Fun was had by all.

Some went across the parking lot to the Italian restaurant, deciding the vending machines and coffee bar weren't to their liking at the community center.

Eric and Amelia especially had fun.  The old folks went home when they got tired, but Eric and Amelia stayed and woohoo'd in the photo booth and then went bowling.  No one likes bowling more than Eric.

The next day, Amelia must have been off her meds because she was mean to everyone!  She mocked Eric's appearance and Darron's fear of water.

Darron was taken aback by her "crazy eyes," and when she started questioning Heather's intelligence, Heather called her a crazy ol' b#*%@!

Amelia wasn't the only one burning bridges, however. Darron and Shawn got into a tussle. Shawn was insulting Darron until he had had enough and slapped Shawn in the face (I helped with that one, because face it, Shawn needed a good face-slappin'.) Shawn was shocked that Darron had the audacity to do such a thing.  Fighting ensued and poor Darron lost. They fought in front of the cat, who was clearly traumatized.
