Tiny Town Part 8
Opal has been working very hard to get her house completed. This is it's condition prior to just a few minimal additions. The free wood flooring was converted to a parquet flooring after these pictures, and a few items were added. I think this is the house were we can have a gift-giving party.
The sunroom on the main floor.
The living room, taken from the perspective of the dining area, which I didn't screenshot for some reason.
The kitchen with a door leading to the mudroom (I still need to put a bench or something in the mudroom.
The back porch, mudroom, and main floor bathroom.
Opal's art studio out back.
The main bathroom upstairs (there's also an ensuite from the main bedroom, similar in style.)
The guestroom/home gym. (The treadmill was a gift sent by one of my online friends.)
Opal's bedroom.
These days, Beatrice and Elias are able to hold a civil conversation, but there is no romantic feeling between them anymore.
Annie and Tracy are still going strong.
They've gone out on a few dates, and he's been over to her house regularly.
They woohoo'd in the photobooth. I need to get Opal over here to woohoo with someone in the photobooth to help her with her lifetime wish. Maybe she can go there with Elias (not that she's all that interested in him as a boyfriend - she has commitment issues.)
Annie just before she destroyed the "evidence" of her and Tracy's activities.
Opal occasionally flirts with Cyprus, but she seems to be holding out for an alien.
Paguk is back to being a regular visitor as long as someone invites him over. So she's working on wooing him.
I wanted Cyprus' puppy Floyd to age up, so I turned aging on for a few days. This resulted in the deaths of a few elders, some while visiting Tiny Town.
Cyprus is so wrapped up in TELLING a ghost story that he's missing out on the real thing.
RIP Woodrow Dunham and Chuck Hobble.
While Annie has a romantic interest and Opal isn't interested in commitment to anyone, I think Beatrice would like to have some romance in her life. She decided to try the Sim App since Annie had luck with it. She asked to meet a man who was a natural cook and disliked children.
Along comes Josue Cheng. You would think he might be Bea's Mr. Right, but she doesn't find him at all attractive for some reason. As usual, Opal is quick to hone in on the new guy.
Hearts seem to be flying, but apparently Opal doesn't find him attractive either.
I don't think one-sided relationships are coded into Sims 3, but I've seen my share of what looks to be one-sided relationships. Maybe this is one. What I know about Josue is that he's perceptive, dislikes children, and I think a natural cook, since Bea asked for that trait. I haven't verified it yet.
Beatrice was invited to Cruz Martindale's party. I sent her along while I stayed and managed the others. When I went to check on her, I found that the party was over and she was out skinny-dipping in his hot tub.
While Cruz was aghast and offended by her behavior, time revealed that he is interested in her. Maybe Cruz is the guy for her. She should invite him over sometime.
The residents of Tiny Town have taken on some autonomous habits lately. Cyprus is fond of telling ghost stories.
I also caught him autonomously cutting a gem. I have never seen a sim do that. He didn't finish the job, so I had him do it again, but wow.
Annie has taken up gnome-kicking as a hobby.
Opal just has to insert herself into any conversation the other women are having with a man, and has helped herself to the new girl's sole possession other than her tent. (I'll introduce the new girl shortly.)
Spooky Day came, and the gang threw a costume party. I think Cyprus was a little put out that Elias wore the same costume that he did.
There were lots of hotdogs running around.
Herman Whipsnake destroyed poor Beatrice's jack o' lantern but left the others alone. I wonder if this means he likes her or if he simply hates cats.
We had one space alien over (not Paguk, but a female) who was hard to spot until she decided to recharge.
As autumn came to a close, the gang was getting a little stir crazy, so they all decided to go to the rodeo grounds, ride the mechanical bull, grab a snack, and watch the horseraces.
I don't know where Annie got the cowgirl outfit but it's cute. Maybe it's because she has ridden the bull before?
Benjamin Schmidt also scored some cowboy clothes.
All went to the Rodeo Grounds except Beatrice, who was feeling a little under the weather and opted for a nice hot bath. Tracy was on the lot, but not selectable to go with the group. (In retrospect, there were things I could have done to make it happen, but it's all good - he stayed and chatted with Beatrice in the art gallery. I found them sitting there when I went to check on Bea.)
The French architecture is quit lovely, don't you think?
Winter arrived, and so did a new resident, Azure Hue. She seemed the logical choice as the other future residents need to garden and fish to earn their livings, and those options would be difficult during the brief 7-day winter I have in my game.
Azure has the advantage of loving the cold. Her other traits are Avant Garde, proper, perfectionist, and artistic. Her lifetime wish is to be street credible, (reaching level 10 of the street art skill and creating a certain number of murals). I forgot to get her a mini fridge, so I sent her to art class to start developing her skills instead. I figured the others could take turns feeding her. She has a tent and an easel, which Opal took over. I sent her to the art gallery after her class so she could use one of their easels to practice on.
Here she met Hugo Baum. Maybe a potential romantic interest? They didn't reach the friendship level yet.
They seem to get along, but the Avant Garde trait might get in the way. After a proper introduction and some pleasantries, she accused him of being a sell-out, which dropped the relationship. If she keeps pulling that stunt, she may have a hard time making friends.
I'll close with Paguk's version of a snowman and Beatrice sporting one of Opal's jewelry creations.
