Emerald Valley # 4: Spring's Wedding
Overall, Spring's wedding went quite well, but she was definitely showing signs of worry or regret. I think she was getting cold feet, afraid this union would derail her dream of becoming a witch, but she was determined to be happy.
She and Gustavo arrived early to make sure everything was set up and ready. Then they went to partake of some "liquid courage." My experience is that when sims autonomously order drinks, they usually choose a "regular drink" but in this case Gustavo ordered a Skill Builder drink (good for him) and Spring ordered a "Sorrow Annihilator" - a sign to me that she wasn't sure she wanted to go through with the wedding.
If Gustavo looks different, its because I gave him a different hairstyle and added a beard. I didn't find the shaved head look that flattering on him.
It seems Gustavo wasn't all that thrilled with the quality of the drink? I hadn't noticed that before.
Spring may be worrying about Gustavo's motives. His dream is to have "golden tongue, golden fingers," achieving fame by busking (playing for tips.) The thing is, he has no guitar and no skills in playing the guitar. Maybe he sees Spring as a meal ticket, someone to get a job to pay the bills so he can pursue his dreams.
There were a few hiccups in the ceremony: the chairs were placed too close together, so most sims couldn't access them, and Joey was still grieving about his wife Tamara, who was taken by Grim's pit monster Emie at the bachelorette party the night before.
And some guests seemed more interested in their own conversations than the ceremony.
But the wedding did go on.
