Northern Winds part 18.1: A brief stay in San Palmero, then on to Wild Wild West.
San Palmero is not a level island and came undeveloped for the most part. I put most of the rabbitholes in a place I built and named it San Palermo Marketplace. It featured a diner/restaurant with pizza oven and baking station, restrooms, bar, outdoor dining options, a spa, a bookstore, a elixir store, and a consignment store.
I learned to use the stilt foundations on most of the lots, so I would have a level building platform.
For instance the Choc O Latte coffee shop was built on stilts.
The beach was so steep, I built a pier so I could place items.
This is one of the houses I built. I spent more time building than playing I think, then Halloween came around, and I got sidetracked with Terence Bloodston and played the spin off for a couple weeks. Here you can see the back of the Maloney house with Terence's house in the background.
Polly had quite enough of Maxwell scratching up the furniture. (He aged up just before they moved, by the way.)
She told him to make himself useful and fix the toilet.
Finally, Calvin did manage to meet a few kids at school and invited them to his house. Only one showed up. His name is Marco Bridges. It turns out he's homeless and has no family. Of course, when they found him sleeping in the lounge chair on their balcony, they had to take him in.
And give him a make over, because this look would just not do! He's still showing as being without parents and being a "friend" of the family rather than a family member. Because he was a minor, however, and the Maloney clan committed to taking him in, he left with them when they moved to Wild Wild West.
When the North Wind came calling, the family moved to this roomy horse property with plenty of space for all: 4 bedrooms, three bathrooms, a living room, family room, dining room, and eat in kitchen. It also has a room for making potions and inventing.
