LEPacy Challenge: The honeymoon and town gossip

 Gus and Athena decided to go to Barnacle Bay for their honeymoon. Being just out of high school, they both really enjoyed theme parks, and Barnacle Bay in the summer was the ideal place for traveling festivals and amusement parks. 

They settled into the Angler's Apartments (which really aren't apartments but just one very big house with a lot of wasted space). 

It could easily be made into three good sized apartments with a gym, laundry room and other common spaces. Barnacle Bay was made with the base game, and I have a theory that the person who set the lots, named them, and did the write-up either quit or was transferred, and someone else was assigned to do the builds. Then the person who was assigned to do the builds didn't bother to read the write-ups because most of them don't match up at all. 

The first thing the couple did was investigate the pool across the street. Athena, being athletic, decided to take a swim, while Gus, being hydrophobic, decided to paint.

They could see the pirate ship diner from  the pool, and decided to go there for dinner that night.

 After looking at the menu, they decided to save some money and make use of the grills provided outside. They enjoyed hotdogs and quick drinks. 

Having recently joined the political career, Gus worked on making friends and building his charisma. Mean-spirited Athena, on the other hand, took an immediate dislike to Luisa Lobos and picked a fight with her. Perhaps Athena is a mean drunk? 

What happens in Barnacle Bay stays in Barnacle Bay. Poor Luisa didn't know what hit her.

The following day, Gus and Athena spent the day at World of Wonder.

They had some junk food for breakfast before playing Whack-a-Gnome.

Whack-a-Gnome was very frustrating for Athena.

She conked herself in the nose several times, and only scored 6000 points.

Gus, on the other hand, scored 47000 points.

Next, they rode the carousel, which both really enjoyed.

Nina Caliente was also at the park (the blonde with the black outfit). 

For lunch, they had hotdogs again. 

Then they checked out the Big Top, which was basically seating, a popcorn machine, and a dance floor. If I were to rework it, I'd try to put a Showtime stage inside, but I don't have Showtime loaded at the moment. Athena managed top start another fight with someone she didn't even know.

She's pretty, but she's mean.

Gus decided this was a good place to take toy form.

One last ride on the carousel, and it was home to bed. 

They enjoyed the World of Wonder, so the following day, they decided to give the Renaissance Festival a try. The first thing Gus did was find a fiddle and serenade Athena.  It was awful, but Athena really got a charge out of it.

They decided to get into the spirit of the occasion and rented costumes.

For lunch, Gus made hotdogs again.

While Gus was cooking the hotdogs, Athena went to get her fortune told. Gus knew she was wasting her money and would be disappointed with the outcome, which filled him with maniacal glee.

As they sat down to their meal, a strange lady came up behind them and swiped a plate of their hotdogs. 

Athena played the guitar for awhile, then they both practiced archery. They also got a greeting card photo.

Gus got up to some mischief, . . . 

But Athena was a good sport.

All in all, it was a great honeymoon.

Upon arriving home, Athena's mother invited her to a costume party as it was Spooky Day. Athena got along well with her mother, . . . 

But not her sister. Perhaps she learned that her sister was now a pregnant teen - Seth Greenfield is the baby-daddy. In spite of the fact that Seth is the father of her baby, she's been seen hugging and kissing and holding hands with Estevan Yates! No wonder Athena accused her of being white trash.

Athena also didn't like her mother's boyfriend Bobbie Haas, probably because he was hitting on her at her mother's party. The following day, he sent Athena a love letter. He's the guy who goes to work in a towel.

In other news, Gina, Gus's sister, has had a child with Josef Sloan-Herrington and named the baby Rafael. I may have to look her up and make sure she has all she needs. It seems she didn't marry Josef, so I don't know if they get along or not. 

Gus is pretty much staying out of his sister's affairs. His focus is on building his career so he can one day rule the world. 

Not that he hasn't taken some time out for fun: he and Athena risky woohoo like rabbits, and he even took a chance at the blackjack tables, trying to count cards.  

He wasn't very good at it - he lost 10 simoleons, but he had a good time.
