LEPacy Challenge: Ambitions and move to Twinbrook - Plot twist: Ming gets amnesia

LEPacy Challenge: Ambitions and move to Twinbrook - Plot twist: Ming gets amnesia.

My game was starting to crash frequently, so Ming and Mandy moved to Twinbrook (I added Ambitions as that is to be Mandy's pack when she takes over as heir.) However, the game was still crashing, so I figured it was time to save my characters and start the game over.  It has some drawbacks by doing so: The family ties and family tree disappear.  However, after discussing things with my Sims 3 Facebook group, it seemed the best way to preserve what I could was to put all the heirlooms in the house and save the household with the house.  I did this, but some of the pictures (the selfies) didn't transfer over and were just blank frames.  I restarted the game and tried putting them in Ming's backpack, but they still didn't transfer. I lost my picture of Stanley and some pictures of Ming with her mother Biyu, her half-sister Ming, and her father Garrett. However, I still have a picture of Garrett.

Now to meld this into my storyline:

Ming had only just arrived to town when she was "welcomed to the neighborhood" by these sketchy characters.

They look like a prostitute and a used car salesman, and they were both a little creepy. This is Penny Pincher and Clark Peddler. Clark immediately came on to Ming; she was creeped-out by him, and took an immediate dislike to him.  She tried to make friends with Penny, but while they are on good terms, they are slow to progress to the friend zone. Penny clearly has a crush on Clark, and even though he was coming on to Ming, this didn't seem to phase her.

It wasn't long until Ming was wishing they would just leave and "get a room." A few days later, after meeting a few other people, Ming decided to throw a house party.  She invited everyone she knew in town - even Clark, along with a few relatives who just happened to be in town as tourists: her half sister Ming Hong, and her uncle Groucho Sw0rd.

Groucho is in the background dancing with Kat Hunter, who is a "cougar" with a boyfriend considerably younger than her, I learned. Ming Hong is the woman in white, and in the foreground is Wei Keane, whom my Ming immediately had a crush on.  And he's single.  However, she needs to raise Mandy as a single parent, so the most he could become is a boyfriend.

Somewhere along the line, SOMEONE spiked my Ming's drink with a mysterious substance that left her dazed and confused the next morning, not remembering her past or how she got here. (I blame Clark, for spiking the drink.) Who were all these people in the pictures around this house? She spotted her own picture, and assumed this must be her family, but she didn't know their names or how to find them. She did remember Mandy, however.

Mandy, according to the Legacy Roller App, is going to grow up to be a ghost hunter, marry an architect, and have two children. I have decided she will grow up wondering who the people in the pictures are, and being the perfect child with multiple talents, will pour her efforts into inventing a time machine. She will program her mother's DNA into the machine (not hers as she's adopted) and forget and leave it on. Some of her ancestors will arrive and move into the town. (I want to see if any branches of the family tree reform as I experienced that in another game.) I have the founder, Lucy Walton, saved, and a great aunt Sonja (Stanley's sister) and her young family; Uncle Gunnar, Marla, and baby Malcolm; and even father Garrett, half brother Brant, and Ming's younger self. (I will probably kick that Ming out as everyone knows it's very bad to meet yourself in a time-warp - it could drive you crazy.) I even have a save from the party and wonder if I could find a way to save Groucho and Ming Hong to the bin. This obsession with people from the past might be the catalyst for Mandy deciding to become a ghost hunter.

But back to the story at hand.  Ming does not remember any of the people she invited to the party last night, and after spending a day at home, trying to get her head straight, took Mandy to the park across the street to play.  There she met DeAndre Wolf, a musician, and immediately fell for him.  She invited him home for lunch, but he had to go to work.

She didn't get the chance to ask him if he was single or not. And that's were the story sits for now.

Mandy knows how to walk, talk, use the potty, and has learned all she can from the following books: Being Smart for Fun and Profit, Bluish Eggs with a Side of Pastrami, Counting for Those Who Cannot, Frank I'm Not, Don't Stay Within the Lines, Finger-painting 101, and Handprints of the Masters. She has also mastered the xylophone and the peg box.  I think she will be ready to aged up on schedule in three days. She has also grown attached to her imaginary friend, and Ming has a rainbow gem in her possession, so she might have two children before she knows it.
