LEPacy Challenge: Ambitions and move to Twinbrook - Plot twist: Ming gets amnesia

LEPacy Challenge: Ambitions and move to Twinbrook - Plot twist: Ming gets amnesia. My game was starting to crash frequently, so Ming and Mandy moved to Twinbrook (I added Ambitions as that is to be Mandy's pack when she takes over as heir.) However, the game was still crashing, so I figured it was time to save my characters and start the game over.  It has some drawbacks by doing so: The family ties and family tree disappear.  However, after discussing things with my Sims 3 Facebook group, it seemed the best way to preserve what I could was to put all the heirlooms in the house and save the household with the house.  I did this, but some of the pictures (the selfies) didn't transfer over and were just blank frames.  I restarted the game and tried putting them in Ming's backpack, but they still didn't transfer. I lost my picture of Stanley and some pictures of Ming with her mother Biyu, her half-sister Ming, and her father Garrett. However, I still have a picture of Gar

LEPacy Challenge: Game-induced drama between Ming and Samir - Goodbye Samir, hello Mandy of generation 6

When we left off, Ming was going on a risky woohoo spree to try and get pregnant. It didn't work.  Then she aged up to an adult, and with the biological clock ticking, began trying for a baby with Samir.  Despite their efforts, there was still no baby.  Ming concluded she couldn't produce children of her own, and has decided to adopt.  But first, it's off to Egypt to try and get enough relics to fulfill her lifetime wish of having a private museum with 20,000 simoleons in relics displayed in her house.  Samir went along as well. (My intention was for him and Ming to reach an amicable agreement to part ways, Samir going back to his homeland and his family.  It started off that way.) Samir came under my control when we reached Egypt.  While Ming was searching up her relics, Amir paid a visit to the marketplace, where he ran into his daughter Satis. They were happy to see each other and Satis encouraged Samir to go home and see her mother.  Fatima, Samir's wife was happy

LEPacy Challenge: Fixing Gunnar's house, Ming striking out on her own: going baby-daddy shopping and adventuring in Egypt.

LEPacy Challenge: Fixing Gunnar's house, Ming striking out on her own:going baby-daddy shopping and adventuring in Egypt. So, as promised last post, I went to Gunnar's house and cleaned up the mess. I had him fix the plumbing, mop the floors, etc.  He was also complaining of a bad night's sleep, so I got him a better bed. I think this improved the relationship between him and Marla - at least for awhile. Gunnar and Marla immediately woohoo'd in the new bed, and although I didn't hear lullaby music, it wasn't long before I started getting notices that they had another little blessing on the way.  It was a baby girl, and they named her Ruby. While I was there, I made sure the dog (I thought it was a cat the last time I visited) and the kids had plenty of toys.  This made them very happy.  The kids even have a treehouse to play in. Gunnar and Marla really need to do something about the keg in their side yard - it's an attractive nuisance.  Who wants a tipsy ma

LEPacy Challenge: Wrapping up the China trip, Brant's teen birthday, rise of the 5th Generation

LEPacy Challenge: Wrapping up the China trip, Brant's teen birthday, rise of the 5th Generation. The Sw0rds decided to go home early due to the fact that China was going wonky and no one could figure out how to climb the stairs to the base camp anymore - not my sims or any of the NPCs who were vacationing there.  They just milled around the bottom and tried to climb the hill where there weren't any stairs, stomped their feet while their needs dwindled. Before that happened, however, Garrett made a few more attempts to participate in a tournament.  He was level 9, however, and not level 10.  I think he must need to be level 10 for the tournament to be legit.  He went to the academy and called on the phone to spar with the tournament champ, who happened to be Wei Pei. This is Wei Pei.  He is a formidable martial artist.  No one messes with Wei Pei - even if he decides to work out shirtless in the restaurant.  It's okay, Wei Pei, you do you, and we'll mind our own busines
