Be Happy #5 - Now to be known as Happy Valley - Spotlight on Patty Wolfe

I'm going to rename this game "Happy Valley" instead of "Be Happy" because I have pretty much ditched the challenge at this point. I've added several 10x10 challenge lots and some larger family homes to encourage population growth. I'm still going to jump around from household to household, but I found one sim I have grown particularly fond of.  Her name is Patty Wolfe, and there's something about the expressiveness of her face that I really like.  She almost always looks serene, and she smiles a lot.  Even when she's not smiling, her expressions are so cute.

The circumstances where I first met Patty were not auspicious. I was playing another household at the time, and she was standing at the pie eating contest table in what was passing for swimwear, but looked more like she had no pants on - just underwear.  Add to this the fact that she was a big gal, and no underwear model, and you can see my concern.  This woman clearly needed rescuing.

I discovered where she lived and that she had given birth to Tommie Furst's child. (Tommie is the founder of the game, and had broken up with his wife Kerry, who originally was the school mascot.) I found Patty working as a cashier in the strip mall and not being able to go home regularly; meanwhile, her newborn daughter Bridgett was lying outside the front door.

I quickly got Patty a part-time job at the cemetery close to where she lives.  This enabled her to spend more time with Bridgett, even though most of her income was going to pay for a babysitter. Patty proved to be an attentive mother, and I also discovered that she and Tommie were enemies.

After Bridgett aged up and no longer needed a babysitter, Patty started pursuing her lifetime dream of mastering mixology and owning a bar.  At this point she was rapidly approaching the elder state, so time was of the essence.  She got a bar and practiced at home.

She became good enough to moonlight at Santiago's, and then when Goth Haven was built, she began working there, hoping to be able to buy it some day.

She's an elder now, and since I'm fond of her, I think I'd better save her to my bin before I lose her forever. She's really close to being able to afford Goth Haven Pub, and she's nearly to level 10 on her mixology skills.  She invented a new drink called Ghastly Ghoul-aid, which she hopes to feature at the bar in honor of it's downstairs neighbor, Grim.

Meanwhile, her adorable toddler has grown into a snarky teen, and they have seen a few rough patches. Bridgett, however, is getting to be a pretty good painter, so maybe she will help her mother out with the purchase of the bar.

Another dream of Patty's is to get married, but so far there isn't a love in her life. Prospects don't look good for it happening, at least not if you take the magic 8 ball seriously.

I am going to stick with Patty until she fulfills her lifetime wish of owning the pub. Then I'll drop in on another household.
