Confessions of a Sims 3 Addict

 I looked back on my Roseward story and realized I hadn't update it.  I just went back to revisit and built an underground bunker for the most recent 10 x10 challenge. A lesson I learned: changes made by visiting/vacationing in a place do not save when you actually move to a place.  I guess the Traveller mod, which enables visiting any world you have, isn't connected to the "move to another town" option - instead you have to vacation there and then select as homeworld.  This meant I had to rebuild all the places I had fixed up on Amber and Lenny's visit. The up-side is I built them back better than before. I saved a handful of households from Bridgeport to the bin and placed them into Roseward - Bridgeport was getting a bit messed up anyway.  Roseward has not only the new Plumbot Film Studio with the capacity to film all kinds of movies,  a school that is more than a rabbithole, a small neighborhood with about half the houses rebuilt and inhabited, and a gym, comp

 The 4 Seasons challenge is over! Aspen and Vinny are moving on with their lives.  Here are the highlights: Last days of the challenge: Aspen bought a bee box, but had a traumatic experience, so Vinny took over the honey collection from then on. It was very rainy most days, but the couple didn't let that get in the way of having fun. Date night.  Something about watching Sims dance just lifts my spirits. The bachelorette party started off rainy, but cleared up. Most people changed from their "dress to impress" clothes to swimwear fairly quickly. This outfit is not the least bit flattering for poor Aspen. Here, she's making a friend of Ada, who seems to think her outfit qualifies as formal wear - she wore this to the wedding too. I thought Aspen was going to ruin her dress when she quickly changed into it and ran to the water, but she switched back to her swimsuit in the nick of time!  It looks like the Sanitorium Gardens got the most votes for the wedding venue, so I went in an deleted the center section and put in a wedding arch, a few seats, and table for the cake.  I also put in a banquet table along one side. I suspect I will have to change the lot to a park in order for them to have the party there, then switch it back after the party. (It's on the same lot as the hospital/science lab.) I think I'll put a fountain in the center after the wedding. One potential pitfall is there is a dumpster on the lot outside of the gardens and Aspen has been prone to autonomous dumpster diving lately. I had a previous wedding fiasco where the groom left to go to work (he wasn't controlled by me) and the bride decided to go dumpster diving in her wedding dress while she waited for him.
