Trump in Greenland #2 - Becoming a father; trip to the future; and new additions to town and house.

Trump in Greenland #2 - Becoming a father; trip to the future; and new additions to town and house.

Donald's live-in girlfriend Berthe has produced him a son. The baby's name is Jules, and he's an evil party-animal, so that should be fun (party animal was given; evil was randomized). Now that he has a child, the future has been changed, so he went there in hopes of meeting his descendants.

His descendants were never home when he attempted to visit them, so I cheated while he was asleep to see who they were:

Andy Girard - Head of the family. I think he's an in-law and not a direct relation despite Girard being the surname of the family (Trump hasn't married Berthe Girard yet, so the family retains her name.) Andy is unflirty, excitable, a nerd, a virtuoso, a coward, and a light sleeper.

Milia Girard - Wife, and I think direct descendant as she has the French Culture trait and Berthe came from France. She is absent-minded, a great kisser, a nerd, an angler, a light sleeper, and childish.

Sonia Girard - 11-year-old daughter. She also has the French Culture trait. She's a couch potato, a night owl, and a loser.

Markus Girard - 10-year-old son. Has the French Culture trait, is brave, ambitious, a nerd, and a daredevil.

Even though Donald didn't meet his descendants on this trip, he did visit a few bars and made a few friends. He also spent 40,000 simoleons of a hovering pick-up truck and bought a new futuristic suit. (He's supposed to be saving up to buy the hotel in Saarqartoq, but I couldn't resist, and thought "What would Trump do?") He took a class in bot building and acquired level 1 of advanced technology skill as it's needed to trigger the alternate futures, and I wanted to explore what Into the Future has to offer as the middle-of-the-road version is really boring to me.

The city was claiming there was a housing shortage, so I dropped three identical modern homes from my 10x10 challenges (the colorful house) into the world. I changed the stairs in front of the fish window because they didn't work, and instead put a tube elevator in the windowed bump-out. I also deleted the car so the places would be more affordable, and the car wouldn't clash with the futuristic theme.

Donald used the dream pod while he was there.  He had bad dreams and I tried to redirect them, but he kept going back to the bad dream. When he woke up he lost his ambitious trait and gained a dislikes children trait, which is ironic considering his girlfriend just had his baby.

Once he got back he chose to trigger the dystopian future. Emitt gave him a magnet that is supposed to attract meteors in this world.  If Trump uses the magnet three times, it's supposed to happen. While I don't really want to destroy this town, especially the part that Trump is developing, there is a section that I rarely use where I might send him to try it. Hopefully the damage goes where he conjures the event.

Other things that happened in the game:

Donald bought the business venue and created something akin to the Pike Street Market in Seattle. There are booths that sell fish (in aquariums), vegetables from the vegetable cart, and food from the festival food booths.  I think I also put in a photo booth.

Donald also upgraded the bar area on the Neptune so it would bring in more money.  His dog Mochi found yet another tiberium gem. Trump won the lotto twice (I forgot to rig it when I went to the future.) The amounts were small, but he was happy to win. He added a bathroom to his basement party area and threw another awesome party there.

I'm getting a little concerned about Berthe. She autonomously spends a lot of time at the gambling table playing alone. I hope she isn't getting to be a gambling addict. However, maybe she's improving her skills in that area. She should really be practicing her magic if she's serious about being a magician some day.

In addition to his fancy flying car, Trump also owns a scooter from France, which is now Berthe's, and a sailboat that he keeps at the marina.  He can also drive the yachat/dance club around in the ocean if he wants to.

Also, there was a notification that a young couple got married but couldn't find any decent housing and had to live in separate houses.  I built a couple new houses in Trump's neighborhood that were filled up immediately. Both have two bedrooms and two bathrooms, and each has a crib, a full-sized bed, and at least one twin bed. The houses became occupied immediately, so I think I will be building some more very soon.

Time to go meet the neighbors! (Trump's house is the pink one in this picture.)

In separate-but-related news, after the "I Love Old People" challenge ended in Deery Meadows, things started to get glitchy and crash frequently. I saved the things I wanted to keep and deleted that game. One of the things I saved was Trump's illegitimate son August Wilkins and his family as the guy cracks me up and is basically a chip of the old block.

I'd like to start a "Long Lost Heir" challenge where I drop August and family into this game, and August has to meet, befriend, and stay friends with Trump until Trump dies, so he can get part of the inheritance.  I'd like to find a way to link him to Trump's family tree if possible, so I'll ask if anyone knows how to do this in my Facebook group. I'll include the "rules" and a general way to start this challenge if anyone else would like to try it.
