The Witchy Life of Venus Rucker - #3 - The Mystery Drink party

 Venus and Nathan's kids and the great "mystery drink" party.

Venus and Nathan had four children: two boys and two girls. The boys, William and Alex, are both wizards.

One of the girls, Wendy, is a witch, and I guess poor little Mallory is a squib (non magical).

It's a busy household, with something always happening.

Venus decided to mix up a variety of potions and put them in drinks, creating “mystery drinks.”  She set

all this up the night before, then arranged for a party at 5 pm the next day.  I was hoping the guests

would either drink the drinks on their own or at least drink them if Venus brought one to them.  I wanted

to see if I could make this work.  The drinks create a variety of good and bad effects.  What neither

Venus or I realized is that some family members don’t know to leave her stuff alone! 

 

The first victim was daughter Wendy (the evil one). She went into her mama’s alchemy room and

drank a mystery drink.  Almost immediately she started feeling very bad about herself and went to the

kitchen and began “eating her feelings.” 

The hubby Nathan saunters in and drinks a drink - now he’s nauseous, but that doesn’t stop him! He

drinks another, and now he’s sleepy.  But does he stop? No! After the third glass he gets a skills bump

in inventing (which is great, because he’s an inventor), then he drinks a fourth glass and is very, very

happy.  I redirect him to the shower before he drinks any more. (There’s one that ages a person up,

and since he’s an elder already, I don’t know what that would do to him.) When he gets out of the

shower, he forgets to get dressed and decides to eat his breakfast naked. (I’m glad the kids were at

school.) Then he throws up, and goes to bed.

The party was an epic success! Not everyone drank one of the drinks, but Hyun-Moon Jun was the not-so-lucky recipient of the aging potion.  This didn't stop him from drinking more of them though. One of the kids, I think it was Alex, got the flask of angry bees. The evening was topped of with pizza being delivered.  There was also some dancing. The party got an "epic" rating.

Time to switch to another town and another family. I'll revisit these in a few weeks. I need to decide what to do when Nathan passes away.  I think Venus will move with the kids to a different town - probably the one that comes with Supernatural - I forget it's name. When the kids age up, I will probably create a spin-off game with one of them, but I don't know which one yet.
