Amber and Puzzle in Bridgeport
Seeking Fame and Fortune in Bridgeport
Amber, Puzzle, and Roman are "spinoffs" from my Deery Meadows game. Amber was a teenage mother with an imaginary friend she managed to make real (Puzzle). Once Amber came of age and graduated high school, she and her son Roman and Puzzle set off to Bridgeport to seek their fortunes. They found a one bedroom apartment which worked well for two young girls and a toddler. Puzzle went into the film industry while Amber joined the architectural design industry. Their main living area is below.
Amber has been gaining fame for her art and home design, but she has been stiffed by her clients twice now. The first time was when she put a basement laundry room in the pink house in the middle class neighborhood. The owner was a lady who worked the concession stands in the park and was never available to come look at the finished project. The second was a teenage girl (from the Littler household) in the wealthy neighborhood, who wanted an art studio. When Amber turned in the project she was told to wait, that the client was coming to inspect it. Amber waited for hours, napped, took a swim in the pool, etc. until the family finally started arriving home. The girl was the last one to show up and acted like nothing happened regarding the remodel. Maybe this is a glitch with Bridgeport. Amber has managed to create a pool for another client and get paid for it, though the client didn't like the way it turned out. To be fair, there was absolutely no room for a pool on this client's property.
Amber managed to get some quality time in with her little boy before he aged up to a teen. They went camping on the beach, then swimming at the resort just before he aged up. At that point they parted ways with Puzzle as it then seemed inappropriate for a teenage boy to have to share a bedroom with his mother and her friend. Amber and Roman moved into the pink house that Amber had previously remodeled because she knew the basement could be converted into Roman's private space.
As for Puzzle, she stayed in the apartment and was getting to know the neighbors. (There are finally neighbors! I guess I never stayed long enough in an apartment for that to be a thing before.) She's been to a few parties and is trying to keep up with the demands of her job (handing out fliers for movie premieres) and her agent (being seen at night clubs and working out regularly). Amber may have left her with the apartment, but she took all the money, so Puzzle had to skip work, which doesn't pay much of anything, and pick some flowers to get a little money to pay the $199 in bills that Amber also left her. Puzzle doesn't like to be outside, so this was an ordeal for her. In addition to working in the film industry, Puzzle has been working on her guitar skills and developed an interest in painting.
